A Legacy of Hope: Child Saving Institute

For this month’s Charity Spotlight, we are proud to feature Child Saving Institute, an organization that has been serving children and families across Nebraska and Iowa for more than 135 years. Guided by a mission to meet families where they are, CSI has become a trusted community partner by offering a wide range of essential services all under one roof.

Chelsey Haas, Chief Marketing Officer at CSI, has been part of the organization since 2019 and is passionate about the meaningful impact CSI continues to make throughout the Omaha metro. “At CSI, we believe all families need support,” Chelsey shared. “When life shifts, care shouldn’t reset—and families shouldn’t have to navigate a maze of disconnected services just to keep moving forward.”

CSI provides educational services, mental and behavioral health care, in-home and in-school family support, and residential treatment during times of crisis. Their goal is to create lasting relationships with families while offering consistent support as needs evolve over time.

One of the organization’s most exciting recent accomplishments is the completion of the Campaign for Hope capital campaign, which has allowed CSI to expand access to early childhood education, mental health resources, and emergency youth shelter services throughout the region.

Looking ahead, CSI is excited to host Culinary Remix — The Jason Awards Reimagined on Friday, August 21, in Council Bluffs. The event will feature food, live music, and community recognition while raising funds to support children and families served at the Children’s Square campus.
