Since 2015, Adam and Angie Schaecher, along with their two girls, have called Tiburon home. One of the things they love most about the neighborhood is the friendly people. Everyone is always willing to stop and chat, especially when you have a cute, furry friend named Ozzie!

The Schaechers have had Ozzie for not quite a year but he quickly filled a hole in their family they didn’t know they had. Ozzie is a male, mini Goldendoodle who will weigh just 15–20 pounds when fully grown. He joined the family after the girls had been asking for a puppy for several years. When the family met someone with a mini Goldendoodle and learned about Bella & Ivy’s Mini Goldendoodles in Kansas City, they checked the breeder’s website and discovered that Ozzie had just been born.

Week after week, they watched his photos online until one morning over breakfast, Adam and Angie decided Ozzie belonged in their family. Adam promptly drove to Kansas City to meet him. Wanting to make Ozzie a Christmas surprise, they arranged for the breeder to keep him for a few extra weeks. Adam picked him up on December 23, and on Christmas morning, the girls finally got the surprise of a lifetime!

The breeder had already named him Ozzie, and the name fit him so perfectly that the girls decided to keep it.

These days, Ozzie has developed quite the morning routine. After being let outside, he climbs onto the back patio chair, watches the birds and soaks up the sunshine. His family says he looks like a little old man enjoying his morning coffee!

Ozzie is also a big fan of peanut butter. Put some in his Kong when it’s time to leave, and he happily runs straight to his kennel.

Around the neighborhood, Ozzie loves saying hello to Colby and Megan Howard’s dogs, peeking under their fence for a friendly greeting. And if Ozzie could choose his perfect adventure? A long neighborhood walk—with plenty of dogs to meet and everything imaginable to sniff!

Most of all, Ozzie has brought endless fun, love and very special memories to his family.
