Want more excitement in your life? Just add dogs. Tierra Verde residents Wayne and Barbara LeRoux can attest to that fact. With Belle and Boots, their house is full of excitement. 

“They own us,” jokes Wayne. “They are very demanding of love and affection,” adds Barbara. 

Belle and Boots, their long-haired Dachshund mixes with a Greek breed called Kokoni, run the household with confident, furry authority.  They are littermates and are as cute as can be. “We wanted a female and a male,” explains Barbara. After visiting the breeder a few times, they came across the right name for Boots. 

“He has white on his feet,” explains Barbara. The name was perfectly appropriate. 

Boots is a laidback dog. He’s the easygoing male who takes life in stride. Belle, on the other hand, is pure charisma. She earned her name through a Facebook contest among friends, and it couldn’t be more fitting. She is, as Barbara describes, “the Belle of the ball,” a social butterfly who insists on being the center of attention. If Belle senses Boots getting affection before she does, she lets everyone know her opinion on the matter.

Together, they’ve become a dynamic duo. Expect to find them playing in the grass together and simply enjoying the Florida sunshine. They’re living the life of luxury with Wayne and Barbara and wouldn’t have it any other way.
