Three Troop 81 Scouts Honored in Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony

Grant Arthur Brunetti Son of Cheryl and Robert Brunetti
Topsfield’s Boy Scout Troop 81 celebrated the achievements of three young men who earned Scouting’s highest rank during the Eagle Scout Court of Honor held Thursday, June 5, 2025. The ceremony took place at the Congregational Church of Topsfield and included presentations by state and local leaders, recognizing the significant contributions each Scout made to the community.
Timothy Fionn Eagan, Grant Arthur Brunetti, and Liam Andrew Gruener were formally honored for their service projects, leadership, and dedication to the ideals of Scouting.
Timothy Eagan, son of Denise and Thomas Eagan of Haverhill Road, is a graduating senior of Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School. His Eagle Scout project focused on creating spiritual resources for St. Adelaide’s Parish. Timothy organized the construction and installation of seven kiosks displaying the artwork of the Seven Sorrows of Mary, offering parishioners and visitors a meaningful space for reflection and prayer.
Grant Brunetti, son of Cheryl and Robert Brunetti of Ipswich, is a recent graduate of Clark School and will attend Bridgewater State University to study photonics engineering. Recognizing a need in the community, Grant designed and built a flag disposal box for the town of Topsfield. The project provides a respectful way to retire worn American flags, a service that was immediately welcomed by the Topsfield Veterans Affairs office and many local residents.
Liam Gruener, son of Heather Ramsey and James Gruener of Brookside Road, graduated from Masconomet Regional High School and has enlisted in the United States Army. He will serve as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, beginning basic training this August. For his Eagle project, Liam built an information kiosk and a bench at Bare Hill Pump Track Park on Route 97. His project enhances public safety and ensures park visitors have clear guidelines to enjoy the space responsibly.
The ceremony included remarks from Scoutmaster Ben Bollinger, Troop Committee Member John King, and Senior Patrol Leader Alexander “Zander” Hamill. State Representative Kristin Kassner, a representative from State Senator Bruce Tarr’s office, and Topsfield Select Board Member Rafael McDonald presented certificates to the new Eagle Scouts.
Since 1976, 228 Scouts from Troop 81 have achieved the rank of Eagle, reflecting a long tradition of service and leadership in the Topsfield community.
