BIG DREAMS WITH KIANA WILBURN!

Kiana Wilburn has lived in the Town of Tioga for 13 years with a big family. She has always been homeschooled and loves the freedom that homeschooling has given her. It has been so great to do whatever she’d like with her free time when she has finished schoolwork. As a freshman, she will start Buchholz High School in the fall, and she is excited about being with her friends next year.
Athleticism runs in the Wilburn family. You may recall reading about Kiana’s brother, Dion, another Stroll Young Achiever who plays baseball at Buchholz. Kiana began volleyball when she was six years old, just for fun. Her father is a former volleyball player, so it wasn’t long before it became more than just fun. She loved it so much that she started playing mini-club and eventually started playing club at Gainesville Juniors Volleyball.
Kiana has been a libero for most of her volleyball career. Her teammates always say she is a great encourager, which is very important in volleyball. Last season, she helped her team win a national championship for Gainesville Juniors. Then, as a captain, she helped lead the team to win a district championship for Kanapaha Middle School.
When Kiana graduates from high school, she plans to play volleyball in college. After college, she will go to cosmetology school and then start her own business. Kiana admires her family so much because each one of them pushes her to be her best at her sport and in life every single day. When she has free time, she loves to hang out with her family and friends, play pickleball and volleyball, and go to the beach.
Kiana is already a bit of an entrepreneur, having started a dog-walking business with her brother, Dion. She knew a lot of people in Tioga work full time, so their dogs just sit at home with no one to take them out to play or walk them. She felt she could provide an excellent service. Kiana acknowledges that there are other dog walking services, but questions - do you really know if they are going to love your dog? With Dion and Kiana, Tioga residents won’t have to worry about that because they love all dogs! So, if you worry about leaving your dog home for long periods during the day, contact Kiana and Dion. They charge just $10 per walk and include some play time as well.
