Nautical Boat Club Lanier Islands:

Don’t Buy a Boat, Join the Club

In Georgia, some of the best memories happen on the water. With sunlight sparkling on the lake, children’s laughter echoing across the waves, and the quiet hum of a boat gliding at sunset. For Brian Andrew, those moments are not just memories; they are a way of life with his company, Nautical Boat Club. Visit www.nauticalboatclub.com to learn more.

Brian has been boating in Georgia on Lake Lanier since 1982, sharing the lake with four generations of family and friends. Weekends on the water were a tradition, filled with surfing, tubing, exploring hidden coves, and simply enjoying the experience. Over the years, he owned several boats and learned firsthand the excitement and challenges of boat ownership. In 2024, after nearly three decades of owning boats, he sold his last one.

"I realized I was spending more time maintaining and managing my boat than actually enjoying it," he recalls. "And I thought, there has to be a better way."

After 35 years in the construction industry, he made a bold choice. He left his long-time career to turn his passion into a business. That idea became Nautical Boat Club at Lanier Islands, offering others the pleasure of boating without the hassle.

Today, members have unlimited access to a luxury fleet that includes surf and wakeboard boats, tri-toons, fishing boats, double-decker party boats, and family bow riders, all backed by exceptional concierge service. The latest additions to the fleet include the Axis T250 Surf, seating up to 18, and the Barletta C22CC Tri-toon, powered by a 200-horsepower Mercury motor and fully equipped for fishing with rod holders, rear captain’s chairs, and a removable trolling motor. When members arrive at the private dock, friendly staff greet them, carry their gear, prep their chosen boat, and load it with all the requested toys, including surfboards, lily pads, kayaks, inflatables, and more. Everything is ready for them to simply enjoy.

"There’s nothing better than seeing a family hop off one of our boats with sun-kissed cheeks and big smiles," he says. "It reminds me of my own kids growing up on the lake. Now I get to help other families create those same moments."

Brian has three children: Austin (26), Charlotte (14), and Maddie (12), and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Teddy. You might spot Charlotte working on the dock, continuing the family tradition.

Outside of the lake, the family stays active in the community, supporting charities such as Habitat for Humanity, Home of Hope, and Make-a-Wish. Brian serves on the board at Unity North Atlanta and co-leads the Men of Unity, combining service with connection.

His advice to others? "Don’t buy a boat." While it sounds like a marketing slogan, it comes from real experience. "Boating is amazing—but the ownership part can be overwhelming. I’ve lived it. I’ve loved it. But I’ve also found a better way. And now I get to share it."

Nautical Boat Club isn’t just about boats; it is about memories, smiles, sunshine, and time together. It is a lifestyle that is easier to enjoy when someone else takes care of the hard work.

It may not feel like boating weather yet, but Christmas and spring are just around the corner—making it the perfect time to give the gift of boating this Christmas season!
