Fairways & Fundraising with with Sheila Fest Golf Tournament
The Sheila Fest golf tournament of 2025, held at the beautiful Traditions Golf and Country Club, proved to be a resounding success. With perfect weather setting the stage on June 20th, organizers Jim Strong, Sheila Anderson, and their dedicated team orchestrated a memorable event.
A total of 120 golfers participated, making the tournament possible through the continued title sponsorship of Keith and Beth Harbin with Farmers Insurance for the 9th consecutive year, along with all the invaluable sponsors including Stroll Traditions!!
The tournament, featuring a shotgun start, showcased a thrilling 2-person scramble with a 9-hole draw, leading to the recognition of Team Flight Winners across multiple categories. And for the first time, there were two hole in ones on hole 3 by Mike Williams and Bryan Dowdie!
Gratitude was expressed to Traditions Golf and Country Club, Ben Waltrip, Casey Haney, and all employees for their hard work. Special appreciation was also directed to volunteers, including Bonnie Connell, Angelia Phillips Shepard, Cathy Brown, Cheryl Morrell, Holly Neely, Jessica Schneider, Laura Madden, Lynn Elder, Mary Martin, Pat Andrews, and Shelley Lovelady, who tirelessly assisted with check-ins, breakfast & beverage service, and lunch delivery. Board members for the Sheila Fest foundation include Tammy Gunter Rodriguez, Madison Rodriguez, Mike Iliff, Adam Tedder, and Nicole Brooks Rinker.
Proceeds raised will go to support local charities including i-Serve Ministries, Amped Kids Foundation, and Legacy Youth Mentoring.
