For Tatum Young, volunteering is more than a responsibility—it’s a passion. For the past two and a half years, Tatum has dedicated her time to helping 12Stone church, where she plays an active role in the Kids Ministry and helps prepare for Wednesday services. Through her commitment, she has found fulfillment, friendship, and the joy of making a difference.

Tatum spends two days a week volunteering, whether guiding children in their faith or ensuring everything is ready for midweek services. “I always feel so fulfilled,” she shares. “The team I work with is welcoming and truly committed to creating positive change, which motivates me to keep coming back.”

Over the course of four days, she and her team traveled to different villages outside the city, offering medical assistance and spreading hope. “Although it was about 100 degrees each day with no air conditioning, every moment was worth it, knowing we were making a difference in people’s lives.”

The trip was physically demanding but deeply rewarding, giving Tatum the chance to help people in need while growing closer to her church community. “I met so many new people and made lifelong friends,” she reflects, grateful for the experience and the connections she forged along the way.
