Where Real Estate Feels Like Family
Simply Stephens Real Estate
The Simply Stephens Team
What do you get when you mix real estate experience, community passion, and a strong mother-daughter bond? The Simply Stephens Real Estate Team. Whether she’s working alongside her daughter, supporting clients through life transitions, or getting involved in neighborhood events here in Traditions, Anita Stephens brings the same guiding principle to everything she does: treat people like family. That value has shaped the Simply Stephens Real Estate Team from the beginning.
Anita got her start in property management at just 19 years old, helping people find apartments and building relationships one lease at a time. By 24, she was a licensed Realtor. Two years later, she launched her first team. Since then, her business has evolved and flourished, earning her and her team a spot among the top 5% of 165,000 agents in the U.S., along with honors such as KW Agent of the Year for Anita, Real Producers Rising Star for Bre, and KW Rookie of the Year for Rachel. Beyond serving her clients, Anita has spent years on the Keller Williams Associate Leadership Council, channeling her passion for service into teaching classes and mentoring fellow agents—leading in every sense of the word.
Today, Simply Stephens is co-owned by Anita and her daughter Bre, who share leadership of a close-knit, high-performing team. Anita, along with Buyer Specialist Rachel Kreighbaum and Marketing Coordinator Hagin McWhorter, are residents of TOB. The team also includes Buyer Specialist Marla Durrence and Transaction Coordinator Emily Poteet. Together, they work hard to deliver a level of care and attention that goes far beyond the industry standard. “We are a family-owned team that truly cares for our clients and treats them like family,” Anita says. “Clients are not just a number to us; they become part of our family, and it matters to us.”
That philosophy is more than just words. From preparing homes with help from a professional interior designer to producing 20-page marketing magazines tailored to each listing, the Simply Stephens team is known for going the extra mile. They utilize high-end photography and video, create interactive 3D tours, and even maintain a list of potential buyers who are actively looking to live in Traditions of Braselton. Every step is designed to make the process easier, more personal, and more effective for clients.
Anita Stephens and the Simply Stephens Team have been active supporters of several local organizations. They helped build and deliver beds for children through Sleep in Heavenly Peace, supporting the mission that No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town. At Braselton Christian Academy, they assisted with various improvement projects, including repairs to the school’s sign and playground. For the Richard Wilson Recovery Residence for Women in Statham, they provided general maintenance, built garden beds, and donated a large collection of women’s clothing. The team has also made multiple clothing donations to Fostering Hope, gifted school supply gift cards to teachers, and hosted training sessions for Jackson County educators. In addition, through partnership with non-profit Kares4Kids, they’ve distributed boxes of brand-new books and backpacks to area schools and delivered “Kare Bears” to local fire and police departments to comfort children during emergency situations.
Beyond the business, Anita and her family are deeply rooted in the community. Since moving to Traditions in 2021, Anita has jumped in wholeheartedly—playing on both ALTA and USTA tennis teams and serving as captain for her ALTA team. Anita has also hosted events for the Empty Nesters and Gen X groups (while being a Gen X committee member), and joined several ladies’ groups, including Bunco, wine club, and various other neighborhood activities. Her love for Traditions reflects her approach to life and work: build connections, invest in people, and stay involved.
Anita’s husband Brian, their children Austin and Bre, their daughter-in-law Amalea, and two grandchildren Ivy and Eden make up the rest of her tight-knit crew—and she often says that having Bre as her business partner has made this season of her career especially meaningful.
When asked what advice she’d give others looking to buy or sell, Anita offers this simple truth: "Don’t try to time the market—time your life instead." The market will always move: rates will rise and fall, and prices will fluctuate. But real estate decisions should be grounded in personal timing—life changes, long-term goals, and financial readiness—not just headlines.
