Hey, Neighhhhh-bor!
If you see a mini pony walking down the streets of Upper Brookville, you're not seeing things!
Straight from the horse's mouth! The 10-year-old mini pony, Allie, does exist! According to her owners, Upper Brookville family, the Ellos, she has a magical ability to make everyone smile when they see her.
Known as a "spoiled angel," Allie the Pony's unique charm and her unusual choice of companion, two miniature Australian shepherds, have turned her into a neighborhood sensation with a colt following. (Sorry, that's the last horse pun.)
Q: Your pet's name, nickname, breed, and age.
A: Allie the mini pony, 10 years old
Q: Is your pet an angel or a bit of a troublemaker? Spoiled? Protective? Have a bit of an ego?
A: Allie is a spoiled angel.
Q: Does your pet have any specific talents/tricks?
A: Allie has the magical ability to make everyone smile when they see her.
Q: Is there anything other neighbors or pets would know your pet for?
A: People may find it odd when a mini pony is taking a walk down the street, rather than a dog.
Q: What’s their biggest fear?
A: Even though she is small, she is not afraid of much. She must think that she is a full-sized horse.
Q: How would your pet tell the story of the day they met you and your human family?
A: Since we have a barn on the property, we were fostering a pregnant mini horse. While she left us, her baby did not! The momma gave birth to Allie on our property, and we have had her ever since.
Q: Are there any other pets (brothers/sisters) they have to get along with?
A: Allie is best friends with 2 miniature Australian shepherds, Maya (7) and Millie (2). They get along well and keep each other company.
Q: Does your pet get along with the other pets in the neighborhood? Are they part of a pet gang/group of friends?
A: There is another barn down the street, and when Allie gets to go for a walk, she likes to neigh at the other horses she sees.
Q: What is your pet most grateful for?
A: Allie is most grateful for the big field of grass that is next to her barn.
Q: What does your pet love most about being part of your family?
A: She has a big field to herself to graze on, she has 2 energetic dogs to keep her company and a family that loves to take care of her.
