When did you move to Upper Brookville — and why here?
We moved in 2018. We were drawn to Upper Brookville because of the peace, privacy, and natural beauty. It’s got that classic Gold Coast charm — beautiful views, spacious land, close to the water. It feels like a calm escape while still being close to everything we need.

Do you have any favorite local traditions or routines?
We love walking our dogs through the neighborhood and discovering new areas nearby. One special tradition is visiting Caumsett State Park every year — it’s where we got engaged!

What led you to this field?
Emil: I started out in investment management at firms like Morgan Stanley and Dow Jones, but real estate has always been my passion. I grew up watching my dad build extraordinary homes — the architecture, the interiors, the craftsmanship — it left a mark on me. Real estate lets us combine business with beauty, and that’s a rare privilege.

What do you love most about your work?
Meeting new people — many of our clients become close friends. And of course, getting to preview and work with some of the most stunning homes on Long Island.

Just for Fun
What does your perfect day look like?
Waking up next to our dogs, taking them on an adventure, hitting the gym, showing beautiful properties to clients, and ending the day with our favorite meal and a glass of wine.

How do you each relax and recharge?
Emil: I try to start my day with meditation and stretching (when the dogs allow it). Scenic drives help clear my head — I find them calming.
Katherine: A vacation, of course! And nothing beats an ice-cold Diet Coke to recharge.
