Giuliano Brugellis

Born and raised on Long Island, my mother is from Brooklyn and my father is from the south of Italy Calabria. I am married with two beautiful children, Antonio and Sofia. Antonio is graduating high school this year with a high honors diploma and has already been accepted into a few accredited schools across the nation. Sofia is currently in 8th grade with a passion for basketball and design. My wife, Tiziana, is also from the south of Italy. Besides being a super mom to our children, she is a fantastic cook and also the bookkeeper here at Stonebridge. And I can not forget our family pet, Luna, the happiest loving dog there is! Most weekends, we are at our log home in upstate NY hiking and sitting by the fire and if not, you will definitely catch us at UBS Arena cheering on our favorite hockey team, the NY Islanders.I attended CW Post for business management and during the summer I worked alongside my father, who was a tile installer. This experience started my knowledge and interest in the tile and construction industry.

Stonebridge has been a family-run and operated business since 2001. I officially came on board in 2011 as the new owner. Since my time as owner, I have transformed Stonebridge into a high-end luxury mosaic company focusing on offering only the best quality stone mosaics and field tiles. I have always had ideas and concepts that I wanted to implement into the business but never had the freedom to do so. This was my drive to take over Stonebridge, to finally be able to let my creative mind flow and offer different products at a higher quality level, with new and striking materials that the tile market was missing.

Not only do we offer full interior design services when designing your kitchen or bathroom, we have the ability to make custom mosaics and source stone field from around the world for your next project. Stonebridge Mosaics also has a commercial division dedicated to sourcing and supplying large-scale projects across the United States.

What sets us apart from the rest is my knowledge of the industry not only from a tile standpoint but from an installer's standpoint. Growing up watching and installing some of the products we sell today helps us not only continue to use these amazing materials but also helps me to design new products with the installers in mind. The size, the cuts, the grout joints, etc, all these factors are considered when creating a new pattern. My knowledge of natural stone and marble also sets us apart because when you purchase a Stonebridge product, you are purchasing a part of the earth and we make sure it is of the utmost quality, best lot, and overall great product that will truly last a lifetime.

Every business faces challenges. Can you share insights into any challenges your business has overcome and the growth that resulted?

Our biggest challenge here is always deciding what to stock next for our customers. What style, what color, what trend will each tile or mosaics fit into. This has since grown into a love of the interior design industry, learning the different trends that are upcoming and how we can create mosaics in different color ways to match what they are designing with.

My vision for Stonebridge is becoming nationwide with our distribution in some of the most high-end showrooms across the country and at the same time expanding our showroom here to offer the Stonebridge experience to more local residents. We aspire to grow and be able to hire more individuals passionate about the tile industry nationwide, whether that means more sales representatives, franchise showrooms, or even other warehouse across the US.

When in the market for tile and stone, please do your research and do not depend on one showroom's opinion. Research the marble or tile you are interested in as far as where it can be installed, the maintenance on the stone or tile, and what overall look you are going for.

I am very active, whether that is going to the gym with my wife, or hiking and enjoying nature. I try to enjoy life as much as I can and never take it for granted.\
