Planting Fields for the Holiday
From their annual holiday soiree to the festive Heritage Farm-sponsored showcase, there's much to be merry about
In '"Neighborhood Love Notes,'"we've created a meaningful space for our local non-profits and select social enterprises to tell their stories. These organizations play a crucial role in our community, addressing pressing issues such as hunger, homelessness, education and the environment. Through letters to the community, they'll not only share their dreams and missions but also shed light on the important challenges they face and the significant impact they bring to our lives. Join us as we explore the inspiring stories, dedicated leaders, and the essential work of non-profits in our community's well-being and progress.
Dear Upper Brookville residents,
I'm Kayla Cheshire, and I feel lucky to introduce myself as the Communications and Marketing Manager at Planting Fields Foundation (PFF). Working alongside our dedicated President and CEO, Gina J. Wouters, I've witnessed firsthand the deep commitment and passion that drive our team in caring for the historic Planting Fields estate.
Our mission as a non-profit organization goes beyond preserving the legacy of these grounds; it's about breathing new life into them. We achieve this through captivating art installations, immersive cultural experiences, historical insights and horticultural events that enchant and educate.
We know Planting Fields has been an integral part of Upper Brookville for nearly seven decades, witnessing countless wedding photos, peaceful strolls, cherished family gatherings, and unforgettable events. As we welcome November, a month synonymous with gratitude, we're reminded of how fortunate we are to have neighbors who share our passion for preserving our natural surroundings. Your support and presence are what make Planting Fields not just a historic estate but a vital and beloved part of our community.
We look forward to continuing our journey together and welcoming you to the beauty and inspiration of Planting Fields this year.
