The Purple Room
A Quiet Place for Women to Breathe, Share, and Be Heard
Every woman I know carries so much more than what the world sees.
We move through our days holding families together, showing up for work, caring for aging parents, navigating unexpected transitions, and being the emotional anchor for the people we love. And in all of that caring, very few of us have a space where we get to pause, speak openly, or process what’s stirring inside our own hearts.
That longing—for honesty, safety, and connection—is what inspired The Purple Room: a simple, anonymous gathering created for women who need a moment to breathe and a place to feel understood.
It’s not counseling.
It’s not a class.
It’s not a program.
It’s not a class.
It’s not a program.
It’s a quiet hour set aside just for you.
A soft place to land.
A circle of women walking through real life, just like you are.
A soft place to land.
A circle of women walking through real life, just like you are.
What Actually Happens in The Purple Room?
Each gathering takes place on WhatsApp, strictly voice-only.
No video.
No cameras.
Nothing is ever recorded.
No video.
No cameras.
Nothing is ever recorded.
This keeps things simple, safe, and deeply human.
Here’s the gentle rhythm we follow:
1. We begin with gratitude.
Every session opens with a moment of giving thanks—a grounding breath that reminds us we’re stepping into a sacred space where our stories matter.
2. A soft timer keeps us fair and kind.
We have a “gentle timer” we lovingly call “the bad guy.”
Not because anyone is rushed…
but because every woman deserves time to share.
Not because anyone is rushed…
but because every woman deserves time to share.
The timer ensures the room stays balanced and honoring.
3. One woman shares what is rising in her heart.
Whoever feels ready begins.
Sometimes she brings something heavy.
Sometimes she brings something hopeful.
Sometimes she doesn’t know what she feels until she starts talking.
Everything is welcome.
Sometimes she brings something heavy.
Sometimes she brings something hopeful.
Sometimes she doesn’t know what she feels until she starts talking.
Everything is welcome.
4. The group offers encouragement.
After she shares, the other women respond—not to fix, but to support.
A kind word.
A gentle reflection.
A reminder that she’s not alone.
A kind word.
A gentle reflection.
A reminder that she’s not alone.
5. Then come the questions.
If someone feels led, she might ask a thoughtful question to help the participant go deeper or see her situation in a new light.
6. Advice is offered only by invitation.
The participant can say, “Yes, I’d like advice,” or, “I just needed to share today.”
Both are honored.
Both are enough.
Both are honored.
Both are enough.
7. We move to the next woman.
And the rhythm repeats—sharing, encouragement, questions, optional advice—until our hour naturally comes to a close.
No pressure.
No spotlight.
No expectations.
Just women supporting women.
No spotlight.
No expectations.
Just women supporting women.
Why It Matters
The Purple Room exists because so many women carry unspoken worries, quiet griefs, hidden fears, and tender hopes. And while we often push through life with strength and grace, we rarely slow down enough to ask ourselves:
“How am I really doing?”
And even when we want to ask that question, we don’t always have a safe place to say the answer out loud.
That’s what The Purple Room offers:
a space without judgment, without performance, without the need to be ‘fine.’
a space without judgment, without performance, without the need to be ‘fine.’
Women often tell me they leave feeling:
- lighter
- clearer
- supported
- grounded
- unexpectedly connected
Not because anyone solved their problems,
but because someone listened—
gently, compassionately, and without interruption.
but because someone listened—
gently, compassionately, and without interruption.
Sometimes that is the healing.
Why the Name “The Purple Room”?
Purple has always symbolized dignity, courage, and restoration.
It’s the color of depth, reflection, and transformation.
It’s the color of depth, reflection, and transformation.
And a “room”—even a virtual one—is a place where we can rest.
Where we can exhale.
Where we can be fully ourselves.
Where we can exhale.
Where we can be fully ourselves.
Together, The Purple Room becomes a sanctuary.
A place that reminds every woman:
A place that reminds every woman:
“You matter.
Your voice matters.
Your story matters.”
Your voice matters.
Your story matters.”
A Community for Women Who Just Need a Moment
If you’re reading this and thinking,
“I wish I had a space like that,”
you’re not alone.
“I wish I had a space like that,”
you’re not alone.
Every month, women from all walks of life—moms, daughters, caregivers, empty-nesters, young professionals, retirees—join the Purple Room with the same quiet hope:
To feel supported.
To feel less alone.
To feel human again.
To feel less alone.
To feel human again.
And every month, something beautiful happens.
A woman shares something she’s never said out loud.
Another says, “I’ve been there too.”
Someone finds clarity she didn’t expect.
Someone else leaves with peace she didn’t know she needed.
Another says, “I’ve been there too.”
Someone finds clarity she didn’t expect.
Someone else leaves with peace she didn’t know she needed.
Not because of a program…
but because of presence.
Because community still matters.
Because listening still heals.
but because of presence.
Because community still matters.
Because listening still heals.
If You Ever Need a Space Like This…
The Purple Room is here—
soft, supportive, loving, anonymous…
soft, supportive, loving, anonymous…
and completely free for any woman who needs a moment to breathe or a place to be herself.
No camera.
No pressure.
No judgment.
Just one safe hour where you get to exhale and feel lighter when you leave.
No pressure.
No judgment.
Just one safe hour where you get to exhale and feel lighter when you leave.
Sometimes, that’s all a woman needs.
And that’s exactly why The Purple Room exists.
