Cindy Flowers Leads Back-to-School Drive with Heart
Community donations helped fill backpacks with supplies for local kids in foster care and safe houses.
Starting the school year with confidence can make all the difference, and thanks to Cindy Flowers and her annual Back-to-School Drive, dozens of local kids are prepared for their first day.
This year’s effort brought in backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pens, pencils, rulers, and more—all generously donated by neighbors who answered the call. With the community’s support, Cindy and her team were able to fill 38 backpacks with essential supplies for children in foster families and local safe houses.
“Even a few extra items can make a difference,” one neighbor shared, reflecting the spirit of generosity that defines Agritopia and the surrounding area. Cindy echoed that sentiment, expressing gratitude for everyone who contributed: “It’s a privilege to give back, and I’m so thankful for the way our community shows up for these kids.”
The Back-to-School Drive has become a cherished annual tradition, reminding us all that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
