Introducing Amrin Veeder from Cute Cuts for Mutts
I first met Amrin shortly after she opened her grooming business and started advertising with us in 2017. Over the last 7+ years, I've watched her overcome numerous challenges to keep her business going as she continues to serve East Valley pet owners. I say "pet owners" because Cute Cuts for Mutts also grooms cats. We are honored to be able to introduce her here. -Matt Dallas
Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family
I grew up here in Mesa! My family and I have lived here for 35 years, and we've all been heavily involved in the community. My Dad coached each of us through multiple sports, and now that he has his own kids, my brother has coached them on the soccer team. We chose to open Cute Cuts for Mutts in this area and all of us still live fairly close.
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now…
I started out as a dog trainer, training with Ceasar Milan and working with people to help them understand and overcome their dog's behavioral issues. That background has helped me form relationships with dogs who struggle with grooming, and has allowed me to work with all kinds of dogs and other animals to help them feel and look their best!
What is your business, how/why did you start your business?
Cute Cuts for Mutts is a fun, family-owned, full-service pet salon with over 40 years of combined experience grooming a wide variety of animals. I started my career working and managing other grooming salons for a number of years. After working as a manager for other people I felt I had gained enough experience and knowledge to run my own salon, and I'm grateful for my family who has invested in me and helped me throughout the process.
Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents?
Believe in yourself. As a business owner, I've had to believe in myself and my success. Running my own salon has taught me that I can accomplish anything I set out to do, even when challenges arise.
