After years on the racetrack, Oz has happily traded speed for a slower pace of life. The retired Greyhound now spends his days enjoying leisurely walks, plenty of affection, and relaxing with his family.

Oz joined Bob and Midge Silk after retiring from racing locally. While he once raced at impressive speeds, Bob laughs that these days Oz is more of a "40-mile-an-hour couch potato" than an athlete. Retirement suits him just fine.

Like many Greyhounds, Oz may be tall and graceful, but he firmly believes he's a lap dog. At nearly 70 pounds, that can make for some entertaining moments as he happily climbs onto Bob or Midge in search of extra attention. For Oz, there's no such thing as too many cuddles.

Gentle, affectionate, and always happy to meet new friends, Oz has become a beloved member of the Silk family. If you happen to spot him out enjoying one of his neighborhood walks, don't hesitate to say hello. This sweet Greyhound is always ready to greet a friendly face.
