Danny Arnold: Reflecting on Healthcare IT and Building Community in Venetian Isles
Danny Arnold, a relatively new resident of Lansing Street in Venetian Isles, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for healthcare technology to his neighborhood. Although he has lived in the community for just under two years, Danny has quickly become a familiar face and a neighbor who values connection, both locally and professionally.
Danny is Executive Vice President of Growth & Strategy at Divurgent, a full-service healthcare IT consulting firm based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. With over 300 employees, Divurgent helps health systems navigate the complex world of electronic health records, digital strategy, operational readiness, change management, and more. The firm prides itself on taking a full-circle approach, guiding clients from initial selection through implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
What sets Divurgent apart, according to Danny, is the people, process, and partnership. The consultants are often former health system employees, giving them firsthand insight into operations and clinical demands. Their methodology is data-driven, scalable, and future-focused, integrating emerging tools like AI and automation where possible. As a privately owned firm, Divurgent emphasizes agility, client-focused decision-making, and long-term relationships over contract value.
Danny’s journey in healthcare IT spans more than three decades. He began as a project manager in Albany, New York, working closely with clinicians to implement advanced clinical technologies. Over the years, he helped grow healthcare practices at CTG, DARCA, and Elumen Solutions, and co-founded Vitalize Consulting Solutions in 2002. That venture ultimately merged with SAIC in 2011, a testament to Danny’s focus on collaboration, innovation, and client success. Now, at Divurgent, he is energized by the opportunity to lead strategic growth, strengthen client relationships, and tackle complex healthcare challenges.
Even with such a distinguished career, Danny approaches life with humility and practicality. He offers simple, actionable advice for navigating healthcare in everyday life. From keeping a one-page health profile for family members to mastering patient portals, understanding insurance, and safeguarding health information, Danny emphasizes preparation and knowledge. He also highlights the importance of community, reminding neighbors that checking in on one another and sharing trusted resources can make a real difference in health and well-being.
Outside of work, Danny is deeply engaged in endurance sports, including swimming, biking, running, Ironman races, and marathons. He also enjoys pickleball, bowling, and friendly competition with Hotmess Sports. Family is central to his life—Danny has two sons, one already in Tampa and another moving from Austin this spring, and his dog Max rounds out their household.
Growing up in Albany, Danny experienced a city steeped in history and community. That sense of connection has influenced his approach to work and life, emphasizing relationships and thoughtful problem-solving. Now, in Venetian Isles, he is bringing that same energy, experience, and commitment to his new community.
Whether on the porch discussing health portals, at a neighborhood sporting event, or strategizing with colleagues, Danny Arnold is a neighbor and professional dedicated to making a meaningful impact, both locally and in the broader world of healthcare.
