My name is Sophie and was rescued from the Broward Pound 13 years ago at age 1.

I first lived in Weston in a big house on the lake & loved looking for alligators. Yes… you can see their beady eyes appear as they swim by, but I had to not bark or they would turn and face me. 

We moved to Victoria Park in 2018 and love that it is so dog friendly here, but I bark at ALL the dogs. So, my Mom usually makes me walk away from them. She said if we could hang out and chat with the other dog parents for a long time that I would calm down (I am a good guard dog). I do get walked two to three times a day though and love walking a different route everyday. I love chillin’ in the sun in our backyard, and 

Mom & Dad love playing tug a war with me. Car rides are super fun, and I love walking near the intracoastal waterway. I also love going in the shopping cart at Home Depot. 

I love hunting and sniffing for I am part hunter. My Mom did a DNA on me and I am part beagle, fox terrier and shitzu. Mom said she chose me because of my very soft hair. 

Lizards are my favorite thing to chase, but Mom tries to deter me away from them to save them, and I love my bro Beemer, a 21 year old cat.

PS: Sadly,  I have a little arthritis and a non cancerous tumor coming out of my mouth which my vet removed one time. It grew back, but it doesn’t bother me, and Mom says that I am still the cutest.
