JANUARY
We featured Sue Solorzano, a realtor, and her son, Dylan. Originally from Lima, Peru, Sue was inspired to become a realtor as she wanted to help buyers find their perfect home and make the transaction smooth. She has a very close relationship with Dylan who loves soccer.
Ross Brothers Luxury Contractors was our Partner Spotlight. We showcased their commitment to superior craftsmanship, cutting-edge design and a great customer experience.
We recognized Ruff Rescue Air Transport and the Raising Relief Foundation working as a team to provide high-priority items and supplies to people in crisis from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
FEBRUARY
Our “Meet Your Neighbors” were Andrew Mann and Brian Neelley, the owners of Happy Trees, a full service plant design and maintenance company. Both nature lovers, they beautify spaces and focus directly on plants and flowers in landscapes and inside people’s homes and businesses. Maintenance is key - which they are experts at! They will keep your plants, flowers and landscape healthy and happy.
We featured Ron Gabbay and Maya Libai, the owners of petNmind, located at the Gateway Plaza. Their unique, holistic store caters to pets with all natural food and supplies along with grooming and self service wash stations.
MARCH
Bob and Carol Nylund from Southern New Jersey were our “Meet Your Neighbors.” They have been coming to Fort Lauderdale for 40 years and dreamed of living in Victoria Park. It happened in 2023. Carol says,“The neighborhood is so friendly. We walk down the street, and we’re like this is like Disneyland.” They enjoy the water.
Kenny and Lauren Fardales, owners of Luxury Auto Precision, were our Sponsor Spotlight. They tailor to European and Exotic vehicles, and their shop is busy. “I am involved with every car,” Kenny says. “We do the job the right way and always want to satisfy the customer.”
APRIL
We featured Dr. Vanessa Mancuso and Walter Moreno of Oasis Perio. Dr. Vanessa hails from Brooklyn, N.Y. while Walter is from Cuba. The two form an amazing team. Originally a financial advisor for Chase, Dr. Mancuso worked extremely hard to get where she is today and loves dentistry because she takes care of someone’s health.
Our Sponsor Spotlight was Jenny Chapter of Quality Termite & Pest Control. Jenny is a third generation pest control company owner. What separates Quality from other companies is quality work, excellent customer service and attention to detail. “We respect homes and treat the property like it is our own,” Jenny explains.
MAY
Marco Vico and Eclair of highly regarded Cafe Vico were our “Meet Your Neighbors” for May. Marco and Eclair moved to South Florida with their family in the mid-90’s. Cafe Vico opened in 1997 with six tables. Marco and Eclair cherish seeing customers enjoy their dining experience. “We make everybody feel like they are walking into our house,” Marco says.
Seraphine Spa on Las Olas was our May Sponsor Spotlight. Owner Raven Alvarez, with over 25 years experience, truly enjoys making people look and feel beautiful. “We connect with clients through beauty, but can also go deeper and heal root causes through self-care.
JUNE
Artist Julian Castro was our “Meet Your Neighbor.” While a BP engineer, Julian realized that he was not happy. He went backpacking for a year and made his way back to South Florida. Julian is grateful to have found his niche as an artist. “I think expressing your creativity is one of the most powerful ways to improve your life,” Julian says.
A.D.S. Plumbing was our Sponsor Spotlight feature. Founder Anthony Vassallo leads the business with his partners Tara Vassallo, his sister who manages the office, and his nephew, Kevin Rosinski, who works in the filed. “We built this company together. Our strong customer relationships have really helped drive our success,” Tara Vassallo expressed.
JULY
The Maldonado family of Coast To Coast Pizza Company was our Neighbor feature. Their Victoria Park location opened almost 2 years ago. They pride themselves on the quality and how they do it. “It’s the dough. We use good quality ingredients and do things the right way. The flour in our dough is amazing,” Omar Maldonado emphasizes.
Vitality by Pam was our Sponsor Spotlight. Holistic Esthetician, Herbalist and Energy Healer Pamela Pastor is the visionary behind the business. Pamela blends ancient wisdom with modern therapies to help her clients restore balance from the inside out. “True beauty and wellness begins from within,” Pamela expresses.
AUGUST
Our Neighbor feature was Mario Mihalik, who is passionate about animals. Mario enjoys photography and has combined the two into Mr. Paw Portraits. He is extremely talented as a photographer and videographer. “I enjoy pet photography because it affects people and is important to them. I really like to brighten people’s days,” Mario expresses.
Jade Ocean Cleaners was our Sponsor Spotlight. The company, which delivers quality and care, is led by Michael Toroker and his brother, Josh. They take pride in being a family-run business that has been serving the Fort Lauderdale area for over 30 years, with 21 of those years dedicated to the Victoria Park community.
SEPTEMBER
Our “Meet Your Neighbors” feature was the Ranieri family, which includes Dr. Dominick Ranieri, his wife Monica and their daughters, Zena and Josie. Dr. Ranieri, a Life University graduate, owns Coast To Coast Chiropractic Health. He recently bought the practice of Dr. Keith Brickell, who retired after 36 years. The practice is family and neurologically focused. “We work to remove the stress that is inside your body so that you can better handle the stress that is outside of your body,” Dr. Ranieri says.
The sponsor spotlight was ZenVida Yoga & Fitness Studio. Owner Mariaelena Ferrer and her family oversee this Victoria Park sanctuary that is rooted in healing, community and transformation.
OCTOBER
We featured the Wiggins family – John, Bari and Coleman. John moved to Victoria Park at ths age of five, and his family has always lived in the community. John, owner of CBJ Construction, is a licensed, turn-key general contractor who builds commercial and residential properties. He recently built Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies, which is located at the bottom of the Laureat Building. Bari runs the day-to-day operations for Johnny’s.
Our Sponsor Spotlight was Miami Brow Fix owned by Jennifer Beers. Jennifer takes great pride in having a business that reflects quality and integrity. Jennifer and her team don’t just perform brow services, but they build strong relationships with their clients and provide personalized services for each client’s needs and preferences.

Our “Meet Your Neighbors” were Dan Carinci and Jodie Sweeney from Pittsburgh who both work in Property & Casualty Insurance. Living in Victoria Park since 2022, you may have seen them driving around in their golf cart with their four dogs onboard!
Our Sponsor Spotlight focused on Alisa Crimaldi, The Strategic Broker with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. Alisa’s motto is simple. Most agents sell homes. She strategizes outcomes. Genieva Ruffino and Deirdre Boling – Lewis were our Neighbors Feature. The two friends love living in Victoria Park and are business partners in the new Fort Lauderdale Blo Blow Dry Bar. Blo is the original blow dry bar. They cater to wedding parties and groups. “We are extremely customer oriented,” Genieva explained.
