Hello fellas! My name is Sparkie Jr, named after my papa, the legendary Sparkie, who had an impressive pedigree. I am a 100% Papillon and my birthday is February 11th… so I just turned 14!!!  Yes, FOURTEEN. That number scares me a little, but honestly, I don’t feel my age at all. I know, I know… everyone says that. But seriously, no one ever believes I’m that old. 

Not to brag, but strangers constantly compliment my good looks. The only tiny detail that gives me away, I don’t have any teeth. The nice doctor at the clinic pulled them all out at once, and let me tell you… best decision ever! No more infections, no more toothaches. Life has been amazing since. The rest of me is in perfect shape.  Full bloodwork - All good. No prostate issues either.  Good genetics? Sure. But most of the credit goes to my mama. 

When I was adopted at just 4 months old, I was extremely sick and anorexic. I had chronic diarrhea and all kinds of health problems. Then, my mama changed my diet… and my whole life changed. Guys. She cooks for me. Yes. Home-cooked meals. Every. Single. Day.   Basically, I live like a king. That food saved my life, made me strong, happy, and turned me into the fabulous Papi I am today. My family treats me like royalty. Seriously. I am loved beyond measure. I might be a little spoiled, but honestly… I deserve it. Lucky dog? Oh yes. That’s me.

 

Fun fact: I was born in Montana, and by fate I ended up in South Florida. From mountains to beaches? That’s a glow-up. Now, I go to the beach with my family because we all love the ocean. We’re huge nature lovers too, so hiking, parks, and outdoor adventures are a must all year long. I’m still super active and energetic. I love running free without a leash. I bark a lot when anyone gets close to my family (I’m security, obviously), but I get along great with other dogs of all sizes. 

I’m a little… different from typical dogs though. I don’t dig holes because I don’t like dirty paws. I don’t get the whole frisbee or stick-throwing thing. And, I don’t really enjoy being told what to do. But I try my best for my family, because they’re my whole world. 

Lately, I’ve become a serious foodie. I love everything. Literally everything. But my absolute favorite? Meat dishes.  I was so happy when I got it for my birthday dinner. My mama is the best!   #14andfabulous
