Exploring the World with the Mbanyas
The Mbanya family found their beautiful home in Twin Rivers in 2013 and have been enjoying the neighborhood ever since. “We love Twin Rivers because it is a safe community with friendly and happy neighbors and all the amenities that come with it.”
From Cameroon to Waco
Hervé was born and raised in Cameroon. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering before moving to Houston, TX, to further his education. He then attended Texas Southern University where he graduated with a Pharm.D. He was hired by Walmart in Waco after graduation and worked there for a few years before deciding to become an entrepreneur. He then opened his own pharmacy in Austin, Texas (AM Pharmacy).
Jackie was also born and raised in Cameroon and she too, dreamt of becoming a pharmacist. Two years after high school graduation, she was admitted to Texas Southern University in Houston to study pharmacy. There, she met her future husband, Hervé. They graduated together and moved to Waco in 2011. Jackie is currently a pharmacist at Walmart.

Exploring the World and Waco
Traveling as a family is a core value of the Mbanyas. Hervé and Jackie firmly believe that exposing their family to diverse cultures and exploring the world is paramount for individual development and comprehension. Their boys also derive great pleasure from these experiences as they have devised a ranking system for various amusement parks, cuisines, and thrilling roller coaster rides. One of their family traditions is to explore different restaurants in Waco on Sunday afternoons after church service.
