The Incredible Flying Squirrel: Come to the Ohio Wildlife Center on Sunday, November 2 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. for “The Incredible Flying Squirrel,” part of the Beautiful Ohio lecture series. Dr. Don Althoff will share 30 years of discoveries about these fascinating, highly social mammals, complete with video footage of their gliding abilities and nesting habits. Veterans Day Ceremony: The City of Powell’s 2024 Veterans Day Ceremony will take place on Monday, November 10 at 11 a.m. at the Greater Powell Veterans Memorial in Village Green Park. Lowe’s Letterbox Project: Come to Lowe’s on Saturday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. for a Holiday Letterbox workshop! Wildlights: Wildlights will illuminate the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium nightly between November 21 and January 4. A Members Night on Thursday, November 20 will precede the regular season. Stroll through a wonderland of holiday cheer as you marvel at light shows and displays, enjoy holiday music, and visit with the animals. Make It, Take It: Natural Wreath: Preservation Parks of Delaware County will host a Make It, Take It workshop at Shale Hollow Park on Sunday, November 23 at 10 a.m. Using natural materials, make your own wreath to decorate your front door or home. Powell Turkey Trot 4-Miler: Following a record-breaking 10th anniversary last year, the annual Powell Turkey Trot returns for its 11th year this Thanksgiving. On Thursday, November 27, indulge in the beauty of historic downtown Powell while completing a run or walk on a tree lined course.
