BioLit Spa
Where Nature Meets Next-Level Healing
If you think “spa day” means candles and cucumber water, think again. BioLit Spa isn’t your average place to unwind — it’s a wellness destination built around true, natural healing. Everything here is designed to help your body restore, repair, and rebalance itself using non-invasive, frequency-based, and light-driven therapies that tap into the body’s own intelligence and ability to heal itself. The moment you walk in, you can feel it — this isn’t just about pampering, it’s about transformation.
Owners Karen Ricci and Nicole Belanger have created something rare: a sanctuary where science, nature, and energy healing all meet. During my visit, I experienced their full lineup of restorative offerings — from contrast therapy (alternating between the cold plunge and infrared sauna) to a red light therapy bed and a BioCharger session that felt straight out of the future (in the best way possible).
Each modality at BioLit is cutting-edge yet completely natural. Karen and Nicole have poured their passion into making advanced wellness approachable and effective — creating a community that helps people feel better, think clearer, and heal deeper.
Contrast Therapy: Heat, Cold, and Healing
BioLit’s contrast therapy allows you to move seamlessly between their spacious 12-person infrared sauna and cold plunge, both conveniently located just steps from the other. Alternating between heat and cold — known as thermal cycling — is one of the most effective ways to support your body’s natural repair systems.
The combination works to boost circulation, reduce inflammation, flush out toxins, and enhance lymphatic flow, while giving your nervous system a healthy shock that leaves you feeling recharged and alert. It’s a practice that athletes and wellness professionals swear by, and when done in BioLit’s elevated setting, it feels both invigorating and deeply restorative.
The spa makes the experience even more seamless with thoughtful amenities like robe and slipper service, a comfortable changing area, and a sound-healing lounge where vibrational foot beds encourage lymphatic drainage— a perfect way to ground after your session.
From Friendship to Founders
Karen and Nicole’s journey to founding BioLit Spa is as inspiring as the philosophy behind it. The two first met nearly 20 years ago and stayed connected through social media, bonded by a shared passion for clean living and natural healing.
Nicole, already in the health and nutrition space through Arbonne, began exploring red light therapy and started selling red light masks online. When Karen tried one herself, she was blown away by the results. Within two weeks of consistent use, she noticed visible improvements in her skin — smoother texture, more even tone, and an undeniable glow. But even more remarkably, it helped her heal from the inside out.
Karen, who had long struggled with hyperthyroidism, used the mask on her neck area and soon saw her thyroid function normalize. Eventually, she was able to discontinue her thyroid medication altogether. That transformation turned both women into true believers — and it sparked the creation of something bigger: BioLit Spa.
Healing, Naturally
“This whole place is set up to enhance your body’s ability to heal itself,” Karen explains. Every tool at BioLit is non-invasive, non-injectable, and non-pharmaceutical. “People who come here just feel so much better. Big changes are happening.”
Nicole’s story is just as powerful. Facing potential foot surgery, she asked her orthopedic surgeon to give her time to try BioLit’s modalities first. “I didn’t want a screw in my foot for the rest of my life,” she recalls. By consistently using the spa’s therapies, she healed fully — no surgery needed. Her doctor agreed she made the right call.
The Frequency Factor
Among BioLit’s most fascinating tools is the BioCharger, a high-frequency device inspired by the work of Nikola Tesla. It’s designed to optimize cellular function and raise the body’s energetic vibration.
“All of our systems operate on frequency,” Karen explains. “When you raise that frequency, you’re giving your body what it needs.”
BioCharger sessions at BioLit are generally communal experiences, typically with six to eight people gathered around as it runs through customized “recipes” targeting specific wellness goals. With over 1,400 recipes available, sessions can address everything from detoxification and circulation to migraine relief, mood enhancement, and recovery- to name just a few.
“Community is everything here,” Nicole emphasizes. “Our bodies need people to heal — that’s nature.”
More Than a Spa
Beyond its technology-driven offerings, BioLit also provides a thoughtful selection of massage and facial services, all performed using Green Envee, a fully organic skincare line. They even host yoga classes twice a week, with the BioCharger running in the background — a powerful blend of movement, breath, and frequency alignment.
