Owner Tim Hannold grew up learning the trade from his father in Pennsylvania, working summers and weekends before joining the Marine Corps. After serving his country, he returned to the family business, and later moved to Sarasota where he worked in drywall. When the 2007 housing crisis affected his income, he saw it as an opportunity to create something of his own—and SRQ Paint and Wash was born.

He and his wife, married since 1994, are the proud parents of a daughter and enjoy exploring local restaurants and culture.
