30 Years of Caring:
Take Care’s Family is Here for You & Your Family

Through personalized home care, nursing and medical advocacy, Take Care's trusted team provides clients and their loved ones greater peace of mind, health, and independence.
As the local company marks its 30th anniversary this month, let’s look back at the Wise family’s arrival in Southside and learn more about how the family business supports residents today.
Sarasota: A Wise Move
Sue and Carl Wise moved from Michigan to Sarasota in 1982 and were lucky enough to raise their families and build businesses here. They first settled into a home on Westbrook Drive in Oyster Bay. Today, two of their adult daughters - Courtney Wise Snyder, President of Take Care, and Erika Wise Borland, Vice President of Take Care - are both lucky enough to call Southside Village home for their families! Even with Sue and Carl residing slightly further south now and their other daughter, Whitney, a few miles inland with her family, Southside Village is still home in many ways so please introduce yourself as you see them around! The entire Wise family shares a passion for helping others with a focus on family and community, so always feel free to ask any questions about Take Care!
What Type of Support Does Take Care Provide?
Take Care is here for everyone - including many Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and all those navigating an experience as the "sandwich generation" today. If you’re managing a new diagnosis personally, or finally scheduling that shoulder surgery or an elective procedure, having a nurse by your side during the first 24-72 hours at home can make a big difference in your recovery.
As we all navigate the complexities of aging, Take Care’s nurses and caregivers are available to help around the house, get out to-and-from appointments (medical or social!), and provide assistance with laundry, shopping and meal prep, medication management, up to around-the-clock medical care in any setting.
Take Care’s award-winning caregivers, nurses, and RN care managers are dedicated to helping clients live life to the fullest, offering tailored services for all levels of care. In many cases, Take Care supports a client’s desire to remain at their own home with assistance in a private residence. However, caregivers can also be by a client's hospital bedside, during rehabilitation, or within an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
We’re all going to need assistance at some point in life. Many clients welcome Take Care into their homes and lives now to make the most of every day—maintaining as much independence as possible—while also planning for a future where their wishes and needs are met by a team they already know and trust.
Please keep Take Care’s personalized care or medical advocacy services in mind should you or your loved ones ever need any support. Proudly celebrating 30 years of caring in 1995, Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care remains family-owned and operated, supporting clients throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties.
