The Carters
Building Community, One Connection at a Time

Terry and Theresa Carter have called Westbrook home since 2015, drawn to the area from Brunswick, Georgia, for business opportunities and the excellent private schools available for their children. Over the years, they have established deep roots in the community, enjoying all that Westbrook has to offer while balancing successful careers and an active family life.
Terry holds a degree in Business and Marketing from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, and is the CEO and owner of Carter Allstate in Pooler. His agency serves families across Georgia and South Carolina, providing trusted insurance solutions. Theresa, a dedicated clinical mental health therapist, holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. She specializes in trauma and crisis therapy, offering support to those in need.
The couple's story began through a business connection, as Terry was working on an account for an office where Theresa was employed. As fate would have it, mutual friends had been trying to introduce them for some time, and their meeting was simply meant to be. Their bond grew, and together, they built a beautiful life, raising three accomplished children who have now embarked on their own impressive journeys.
Their son, Will, is a University of Georgia graduate and currently teaches honors English to high school students in Banks County, Georgia. While residing in Athens, he is also pursuing a graduate degree at UGA. Their daughter, Savina, graduated from NYU and now thrives in Manhattan as a producer for TAIT TOWERS, where she travels the country orchestrating large-scale productions. Their youngest, Marin, has been pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business at Georgia College & State University and plans to complete her degree at Georgia Southern in Savannah.
The Carters also have a beloved four-legged family member—Cal, a Brittany Spaniel and trained bird dog. Cal doubles as the Carter Allstate mascot and loves greeting visitors at the office in Pooler. His friendly presence brings joy to clients and adds a personal touch to the business.
As a family, they cherish their time together, particularly during the holidays when everyone comes home to celebrate. Their favorite local spots include dining at the Savannah Quarters Club, Taco Stache, Noble Roots, and Bahama Bob’s Seafood. They also love exploring the ever-evolving fine dining scene in Savannah, always eager to try the newest restaurants.
Community involvement is important to the Carters. Terry, a dedicated member and past president of the Rotary Club of West Chatham, actively participates in local events, including the Bill Wade Golf Tournament held at Savannah Quarters. The family also enjoys participating in neighborhood activities such as the annual Turkey Trot, strengthening their bond with the community. Additionally, Terry is a proud sponsor of Stroll Westbrook, supporting local initiatives and fostering connections among neighbors.
When it comes to recreation, Terry enjoys golfing whenever his schedule allows, often inviting friends to join him at Savannah Quarters Golf Club. He also plays tennis there and eagerly anticipates the arrival of new pickleball courts. Meanwhile, Theresa takes full advantage of the fitness club, strength training regularly with the professional staff to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
Beyond their personal and professional commitments, the Carters take pride in giving back. Terry’s involvement in the Rotary Club has allowed him to engage in numerous charitable initiatives, while Theresa’s work as a mental health therapist makes a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in need. Their dedication to service extends beyond their careers, as they continually seek ways to contribute to the well-being of their neighbors and the broader community.
Looking back on their years in Westbrook, the Carters feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the friendships they have built and the beautiful surroundings they call home. As Terry continues to grow his business and Theresa makes a difference in the lives of those she counsels, they remain devoted to fostering a strong sense of community. With their active involvement and welcoming spirit, the Carters are a treasured part of Westbrook, embodying the values of connection, service, and appreciation for the place they proudly call home.
