Meet the Patel Family
Social Butterflies, World Travelers & All-Around Good Vibes

If you’ve spent any time in Westbrook over the past few years, chances are you’ve crossed paths with the Patel family — and probably walked away smiling. Minty, Davesh, and their 4-year-old daughter Mila (turning 5 this June!) have called Westbrook home since October 2020. Minty and Mila were both born and raised in Savannah, and Davesh moved here after they got married — though he’s no stranger to the local crowd, thanks to their college days in Athens!
They don’t have pets (yet!), but their backyard view of a horse farm adds a little everyday magic. Minty is a self-proclaimed group fitness junkie and creative soul, while Davesh is all about fast cars, big trucks, and anything that goes “vroom.” Mila is already following in mom’s footsteps with a love of art — her days are filled with doodling, coloring, and rock collecting.
Both Davesh and Minty are passionate small business owners who love supporting fellow entrepreneurs. On weekends, you’ll likely find them cruising around in their golf cart to local restaurants, hosting movie nights on the couch, or splashing around at the pool with friends. And when they’re not relaxing? They’re probably dancing the night away at one of the many vibrant Indian weddings and celebrations they attend — think bold colors, energetic music, joyful crowds, and unforgettable feasts.
One of the things they love most about Westbrook is being so close to family and lifelong friends — it’s more than a neighborhood, it’s their village. Their famous “golf cart crawls” are neighborhood highlights, and their Diwali celebrations? Simply magical. They also make it a point to celebrate other holidays like Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, giving Mila a childhood filled with tradition, laughter, and sparkle.
And if you’re new to Westbrook? Keep your eyes peeled — Minty might just show up on your doorstep with a bottle of wine and a big smile. “We’ve always had an open-door policy,” she says. “We love having people over!” That’s just how the Patels roll — always welcoming, always celebrating, and always up for a good time.
