Murphy’s Law: Life with Westbrook’s Lovable Giant

In the charming streets of Westbrook, a towering yet affectionate Weimaraner named Murphy has made himself right at home. At eight years old, Murphy isn’t just any dog—he’s a 125-pound bundle of loyalty, energy, and an occasional streak of mischief.
Murphy's journey with his family began in the sweetest way possible—as a first birthday gift for their daughter, Cameron. Over the years, his name has taken on a humorous meaning, with his antics earning him the nickname Murphy’s Law—because if there’s trouble to be found, Murphy is bound to find it! From sneaking sips of mom’s coffee and dad’s beer to his well-documented habit of eating at least five socks a week, he keeps life interesting for everyone around him.
Weimaraners are often called "Velcro dogs" for their deep attachment to their humans, and Murphy is no exception. His favorite time of the week is family movie night, when he gets to snuggle on the couch with his people and enjoy the warmth of togetherness. Though he loves lounging at home, Murphy also enjoys playdates with his best neighborhood pals—his cousin Porter the Vizsla, his aunt Mila the Black Lab, and his beloved dog sitter, Scarlett.
If Murphy could pick any adventure, he’d head straight to Metter, where his Papa’s land offers endless woods to explore and a cozy bunkhouse for afternoon naps. He also loves running around the big grassy field in reunion. Whether he’s romping around with his friends or choosing the perfect toy from his basket, Murphy fills his home with laughter, love, and a little bit of mayhem—just as any great family dog should.
