Fueling Fitness and Family Fun: The Sinsuat Family Leads the Way
As spring arrives in Westbrook and the days grow longer, there’s no better time to lace up your sneakers, head outdoors, and reconnect with your community. This March, we’re celebrating a family who embodies that spirit perfectly—our Family of Athletes, Heidi Sinsuat and her crew.
Heidi Mae Sinsuat, along with her husband Edwin and their two energetic children, Edison (10) and Emmalyn (9), has called Westbrook home for just over a year. In that short time, they’ve become known for their active lifestyle, positive energy, and enthusiasm for getting others moving right alongside them.
Running is at the heart of the Sinsuat family’s fitness journey. Whether it’s signing up for local races or encouraging friends to join in, Heidi believes that movement is better when it’s shared. “It makes it way more fun when we do it together,” she says—and that mindset extends beyond her household and into the wider community.
Sports and wellness are woven into everyday life for this family. Edison stays busy on the soccer field with Savannah United, while Emmalyn shines as a competitive cheerleader with Top Gun. Between practices, games, and competitions, weekends are often filled with activity—but the family also values downtime, enjoying laid-back moments at home or exploring the area together.
Community involvement is a major part of Heidi’s life. She volunteers with Girl Scouts, participates in charity runs, and will be coordinating the Healthy Kids Running Series this spring—an exciting opportunity that encourages young runners to get active and build confidence. Add in networking events and her role as a culinary and experience analyst ambassador for Hungry Panda, and it’s clear that Heidi thrives on connection.
Originally born in Charleston, South Carolina, and proud of her Filipino heritage, Heidi brings warmth and openness to every interaction. She describes herself as someone who greets neighbors with a smile and an easy conversation—an approach that perfectly reflects her family’s welcoming presence in Westbrook.
As warmer weather invites everyone outdoors, the Sinsuat family hopes their story encourages others to take advantage of community events, local races, and the simple joy of being active together. Whether you’re running, walking, cheering, or just soaking up the sunshine, spring is the perfect time to get moving—and maybe even join them at the starting line.
