Alisa Cogman is Planting Roots with Purpose
Since putting down roots in Westbrook in December 2021—what she jokingly calls “owning overpriced dirt”—Alisa Cogman has brought energy, global perspective, and heartfelt dedication to both her profession and her community.
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Alisa is a proud Southern woman whose journey has taken her across the world and back again. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 23 years of service, she spent more than a decade living abroad, with extended time in places like Belgium, Italy, and South Korea. Her military career offered her the rare opportunity to experience cultures across South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa—experiences that continue to shape her worldview today. As she puts it, she has “retired three passports,” each one filled with stories, flavors, and unforgettable moments.
Not long after her military retirement, Alisa met her fiancé, Jeff Podrat, a Pittsburgh native, and the two have been building a life filled with travel, food, and shared traditions ever since. From annual trips across Europe to their beloved holiday tradition in New York City—where they spend weeks enjoying Broadway shows, the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, and concerts at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall—their life together is rooted in making memories and embracing experiences.
At home in Westbrook, Alisa’s vibrant personality shines through in everything she does. A self-proclaimed “anti-minimalist,” she loves hunting for treasures in antique shops and has a passion for collecting unique pieces filled with history and character. When she’s not treasure hunting, you’ll likely find her exploring Savannah’s restaurant scene, enjoying wine tastings, or gathering with friends for brunch—often alongside her “Shuggie,” Jeff, as she affectionately calls him.
Professionally, Alisa serves as a dedicated neighborhood realtor with Keller Williams Realty, holding licenses in Georgia, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. She brings the same level of commitment and pride to her clients that she once brought to her military service. Whether working with first-time homebuyers, relocating military families, or seasoned investors, Alisa is passionate about guiding her clients through one of life’s most significant decisions—buying or selling a home.
Her mission is simple yet powerful: not just to create satisfied clients, but lifelong, delighted ones. She takes pride in offering support, resources, and trusted guidance long after the transaction is complete.
Alisa has also been an active member of the Wonderful Women of Westbrook for the past four years and has helped several families find their place within Savannah Quarters—further deepening her connection to the community she now calls home.
If you ask Alisa how she would introduce herself, her answer is both genuine and fitting: she’s your friend and your neighborhood realtor. With a life defined by service, adventure, and connection, she is committed to helping others plant roots of their own—right here in Westbrook.
