HOTWORX Heats Up Trophy Club

Meet the couple bringing infrared fitness and 24/7 wellness to Trophy Club, Westlake, and Roanoke.

As a busy wife, mom, and full-time professional consistently traveling from coast to coast, Kelly Ham was always in search of the perfect way to decompress. She tried it all—personal trainers, group classes, at-home workouts, and even trips to the local gym where her husband, Chris Ham, served as her unofficial trainer. But nothing quite stuck. That is, until she discovered HOTWORX—a virtually instructed workout program completed inside an infrared sauna.

“I kept seeing friends of mine on Facebook posting ‘sweaty selfies’ after their HOTWORX workouts, and I became curious,” says Kelly. “I loved the small group environment with zero judgment, the variance in routines, and the monthly challenges—especially since I’m a competitor at heart.”

The infrared-enhanced, 15-to-30-minute workouts checked all the boxes for Kelly: efficient, effective, and energizing. As someone who struggled to maintain a fitness routine that continually motivated her, she found herself waking up early each morning to squeeze in a HOTWORX session—a shift that even surprised Chris. “I was never the one to get up early for anything,” she laughs. “But HOTWORX motivated me. Short workouts easily fit into my busy travel schedule, and I was still able to conquer all my daily to-dos. I was finally seeing real results, and the aches and pains that came with turning 40 were starting to disappear.”

Chris, a Texas Hall of Fame BMX Biker, was no stranger to exercise. He had always loved hitting the gym and biking trails, but when he saw Kelly’s transformation—and the infrared-powered workouts that only took 15 minutes—he had to try it too. He quickly got hooked, not only by the results, but by the competitive elements and flexibility-enhancing isometric workouts.

HOTWORX offers something totally unique in the fitness space: a boutique workout experience inside an infrared sauna heated to a recommended temperature of 125°F, but adjustable to your personal comfort level. Sessions range from yoga and pilates to HIIT (cycling, rowing, and full-body seated elliptical), combining infrared therapy with either isometric or high-intensity movements to burn calories, promote muscle recovery, and detox the body. The radiant heat works deep within the muscles and joints, helping reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and increase flexibility. It’s twice the workout in half the time. And for many, it’s not just a workout—it’s a wellness transformation.

Science backs up the buzz. Infrared heat is shown to help with chronic pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, and conditions like dementia, kidney disease, and heart disease. That’s why so many athletes and wellness enthusiasts consider HOTWORX to be a form of “biohacking” allowing individuals to achieve greater fitness gains with less wear and tear on the body.

But HOTWORX isn't just about physical transformation—it’s also about fun. With the HOTWORX app, members can track calories burned, set goals, and even compete in local and nationwide leaderboard challenges. Kelly, a natural competitor, thrived in this format and proudly became the first HOTWORX member nationwide to reach Level 7—the highest status in the studio’s 90-day challenge.

Inspired by her journey, Kelly began exploring HOTWORX franchise opportunities. After careful planning and searching for the perfect location, she and Chris opened HOTWORX Trophy Club on October 23, 2024.

Now, Kelly enjoys hearing stories from members whose lives have been transformed, just like hers. “We’ve built a community here,” she says. “It’s not just about fitness. It’s about showing up for yourself. You can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself. Like they say on the airplane—you’ve got to put your oxygen mask on first. Even if it’s just five minutes to sit in the sauna and relax or even foam roll for 30 minutes, SHOW UP FOR YOU.”

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or someone just starting a wellness journey, Kelly believes HOTWORX has something for everyone ages 12 and up. “Even if you love to bike, run, hike, or work out somewhere else, HOTWORX is the perfect place to recover and restore. There is nothing better for an athlete than the power of infrared and stretching out your body—and we’re open 24/7, so time is no longer an issue.”

For Kelly and Chris Ham, HOTWORX isn’t just a fitness studio—it’s a lifestyle. To learn more about becoming a member and try your first HOTWORX session for free, give them a call or visit their website.
