Could you tell us about your business and what inspired you to start it?
The owner Justin is a Weston Lakes resident. He wanted to provide an upscale indoor dog daycare so that our pups can play year-round. Our climate doesn’t allow for much outdoor play in the summer months, this was a solution to that. Daycare has such great benefits for dogs for socialization, exercise and some education while they are here. We also have webcams so pet parents can keep an eye on their pups having a great time while they are here!
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now:
Lots of hard work! We have a big obligation to make sure our pet parents know their pups are getting the best care and attention they can. We want to make sure they have a great time and when they come to board they already know us and are comfortable here. One misconception is that daycare is expensive but we have developed lots of great options for monthly enrollments, weekly enrollments or even just one-off visits. We always encourage you to come see what this place is all about! What is unique about your business (what sets you apart from the rest in your industry)?
We are primarily a daycare. We see most of our pups weekly. We have a lot of dogs that come 6 days a week for daycare. We are a temperature controlled play facility, our dogs don’t have to worry about weather, they can have a good time 365 days a year. Since we see most of our dogs weekly we know them very well just like a kid at daycare. We know their play habits, allergies, food requirements. When they stay here it's like coming to Grandma’s house. Dogs are not just a name on a sheet here!
What is something that you would like for the residents of Weston Lakes to know about your business?
I always say come for a visit and tour. We are 100% transparent. You don’t need appointment if you just want to come and look around and find out what we have. We want you to be completely comfortable that our facility is the cleanest and best run facility in the state! If you want to bring your dog for a day your first day is free. Schedule that online or call us and we will get it all taken care of.
Do you have any exciting news (new services, specials, events, etc.) to share for this year that you would like residents to know about or to be on the lookout for?
We have lots of great pricing options from monthly enrollments, drop-in visits, boarding and spa services. We also do lots of great activities and events for our pups. Pictures with the Easter Bunny, Santa photos, bubble parties, pool parties and even movie nights!
