Building Trust One Home at a Time
From same-day repairs to custom system designs, First Care Heating & Air is raising the standard for HVAC service across Aurora, Naperville, and the greater Chicagoland area.
Nicholas Peczkowski, Martin Orozco, and Darryl Bonner didn't set out to build just another HVAC company. When they launched First Care Heating and Air in March 2023, they wanted to disrupt the industry and create something different, a business rooted in a culture of care, excellence, quality, customer service, communication and a genuine commitment to neighbors across Naperville and Aurora.
The three owners bring a combined 64 years of industry experience to First Care, each contributing unique strengths that help the company thrive. Nicholas, a Northern Illinois University graduate with a background in accounting and consulting, spent seven years in the home services industry before co-founding First Care, with the core focus of customer service experience. When he's not overseeing operations, he coaches his three children in soccer, baseball, and gymnastics. Martin has dedicated over 24 years to HVAC work building teams to ensure the highest quality approach to every call, drawn to the field because every day presents its own unique challenges. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, kayak fishing, and spending time with his wife, four kids, and two dogs. Darryl rounds out the team with more than 30 years of day to day HVAC experience and a passion for problem-solving and teaching the next generation of technicians. His grown children and four grandchildren keep him busy, along with his love for riding motorcycles and cooking on his grill or smoker.
Together, the three owners have built First Care on a simple philosophy. "We started this company with the vision of caring about our neighbors and clients' homes as much as we cared about ours. We believe in the value of honest, reliable, and quality services. We also understand the difference in service excellence and that extra level of effort which is missing in today's world. This is what we are committed to every day," Nicholas explains. That commitment shines with every interaction, First Care maintains a perfect five-star rating on Google and has already served thousands of clients across the region.
The company's services are comprehensive, covering everything from furnace and air conditioning repair, maintenance, and replacement to duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and indoor air quality solutions. First Care also handles commercial rooftop units, boilers,, and system evaluations for home buyers and sellers. What truly sets the business apart, though, is its relentless focus on customization and individualization. No two homes are the same, so the team takes time to design individualized solutions that fit each client's needs and budget. First Care even promises to beat any competitor's quote by $500, a bold guarantee that reflects their confidence in delivering value first, staying competitive in the market and ensuring we steward your resources when investing in your home or business.
Behind the scenes, the owners have invested heavily in their team. First Care operates an internal training lab where technicians participate in both in-house and external training programs that go far beyond industry norms. The company's guiding principles include: prioritize client and team member satisfaction, excel in everything you do, own it and be accountable, care for building lasting relationships, shape the culture and ensure that every technician feels supported, respected, and empowered. As Nicholas puts it, when team members thrive, clients, the company, and the community thrive as well.
For homeowners looking to keep their HVAC systems safe, reliable, efficient, and running smoothly, the team offers straightforward advice. Regularly changing your furnace filter is essential. A dirty filter can shorten equipment lifespan, freeze AC coils, and force systems to work harder. Keep outdoor units clean and clear, maintaining two to three feet of clearance around condensers and rinsing coils with a garden hose each spring. And resist the urge to close vents in unused rooms. Doing so reduces airflow, increases static pressure, and can lead to premature failure of coils and heat exchangers.
First Care Heating and Air is proud to serve Naperville, Aurora, Downers Grove, and the surrounding Chicagoland communities. Whether you need same-day service, a furnace or ACtune-up before winter or summer, a custom design to solve any problem in your home, or a full system replacement, the team is ready to help.
