North Dallas Music Academy

Inspiring Lifelong Musicianship

For Sarah Archer, music is more than a passion—it’s a calling. As a pianist, educator, and founder of North Dallas Music Academy, Sarah has built a space where excellence, community, and a deep love for learning come together in perfect harmony.

Located at Coit and 380, North Dallas Music Academy offers expert instruction in piano, guitar, voice, and violin. Each program blends artistry with structure, integrating technique, theory, sight-reading, and performance to nurture confidence and creativity in every student.

As an official Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Partner School, the academy adheres to international standards of music education while maintaining a warm, encouraging environment. All faculty hold at least a Master’s or Doctorate degree in their instrument, ensuring exceptional instruction at every level. Teachers guide students from their first lessons to advanced recitals and examinations.

North Dallas Music Academy builds upon the success of its sister school, North Fort Worth Music Academy, which Sarah founded after outgrowing her original home studio. What began as a small dream has grown into two thriving academies united by one mission: to inspire lifelong musicianship through structured, high-quality, and joyful education.

What truly sets North Dallas Music Academy apart is its balance of excellence, structure, and community.

“Every element of our program is designed to cultivate not just musical ability, but also confidence, discipline, and character,” Sarah explains. “We believe music education is transformative—it shapes who we are and how we connect with others.”

Students benefit from enriching opportunities through Sarah’s involvement with professional organizations such as the National Guild of Piano Teachers, Plano Music Teachers Association, and Frisco Music Teachers Association. Through adjudicated performances, theory exams, and festivals, young musicians experience growth that extends far beyond the classroom.

For Sarah, the work is deeply personal.

“Growth—whether musical, personal, or professional—comes from consistency, patience, and a willingness to learn,” she says. “My hope is that every student who walks through our doors discovers not just the joy of music, but the confidence to keep showing up with heart and curiosity.”

A lifelong learner herself, Sarah holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music with a specialization in Piano Pedagogy (the art and science of teaching) from Texas Woman’s University. She is completing her Master of Science in Library Science with a specialization in Music Librarianship at the University of North Texas. When she’s not teaching, she serves as a keyboardist on her church worship team, enjoys road cycling, and spends time with her three dogs—Harleigh, Copper, and Kona.

Faith and family remain at the center of everything she does. Sarah’s brother, Aaron, owns Archer Performance Training and Fitness, located next door to her original academy in Fort Worth. Their shared drive to build something meaningful is rooted in their upbringing.

“We were both homeschooled and raised in a family that encouraged us to dream big and work hard,” Sarah says. “Seeing our passions grow side by side has been one of the greatest blessings.”

With her heart grounded in faith, family, and purpose, Sarah continues to shape lives—one student, one lesson, and one performance at a time.
