Meet Your New Publisher - Stephanie Pickett
From My Family to Yours

Piper as Matilda
Hello Whitley Place neighbors!
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new publisher of Stroll Whitley Place! My name is Stephanie Pickett, and I’m so excited to be part of your wonderful community and to help bring neighbors closer together through this publication.
You may already know my husband, Adam — he’s a high school teacher at Walnut Grove High School. We moved from Frisco to Gunter two summers ago after outgrowing the home we built when we were just a family of three. Now, as a family of five with three kids and a dog, more space was a must! Life is busy (and loud!) with our crew: Piper (13), Landry (10), and Sadie (7). Most weeknights, you’ll find us bouncing between volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, and theater. On the weekends, we’re cheering from the sidelines or racing to the next activity — there’s never a dull moment in our house!
Before stepping into the world of publishing with N2 (the parent company behind Stroll), I spent 14 years in radio advertising with Cumulus Media here in Dallas, working with stations like 99.5 The Wolf and 1310 The Ticket. I first learned about N2 through a former colleague who had started publishing in University Park. From the moment I learned about the mission — helping neighbors connect while supporting local businesses — I knew it was something special. The idea of building something of my own, staying close to home, and serving my community truly felt like the perfect fit. Now, nearly a decade later, I’m still so grateful for the path that led me here. This role has brought me lasting friendships, countless inspiring stories, and a deep appreciation for the people and small businesses that make our neighborhoods shine.
In addition to Stroll Whitley Place, I also publish three Frisco neighborhood magazines: Stroll Phillips Creek Ranch, Stroll Newman Village, and Stroll Stonebriar Village. I love helping families in our neighborhoods share their stories and I love helping people feel seen, celebrated, and connected. I personally meet with every advertising partner, and I only bring in businesses I would confidently recommend myself. So, when you see a business in this magazine, know they’ve been vetted and genuinely care about serving this community well.
I believe in celebrating families, friendships, and all the good happening around us — something we don’t see enough of in today’s media. That’s what this magazine is all about.
A Note to Our Whitley Place Readers:
Though there’s a new publisher, our heart and purpose remain the same. With your help, we plan to grow Stroll Whitley Place even more by sharing more of your stories and spotlighting the amazing people who call this neighborhood home. Our amazing Content Coordinator, Tabetha Motes, is your Whitley Place neighbor and captures the heart of this community so beautifully. I am so thankful for her!
We also owe a big thank you to the local businesses that support this publication. Please show them some love and let them know you saw them in Stroll Whitley Place. And if you own a business and want to connect with your community (or any of our others), I’d love to chat with you!
Lastly, thank you for the warm welcome. It’s truly an honor to serve your neighborhood, and I look forward to many more years of celebrating what makes Whitley Place such a special place to live.
Warmly,
Stephanie Pickett
