A Home in Whitley Place

For the Ferrell family, Whitley Place is more than just a neighborhood—it’s home. Since moving here in 2017, Tony, Stormy, Wyatt (9), and Hatcher (5) have built strong friendships and embraced the sense of community. In fact, they love it so much that they’re now in their second home within the neighborhood.

From College Sweethearts to Career Success

Tony and Stormy’s story began in Denton, Texas, where they both attended The University of North Texas. Tony, originally from the small town of Douglas, TX, has spent the past 18 years in commercial real estate, recently celebrating 15 years with The Bascom Group. He also cofounded and manages CRES.

Stormy, a Decatur native, has built a career in emergency mitigation services, working with Liberty Mutual before taking time off to focus on their boys. She recently returned to work as a Managed Repair Program Manager at Renu, Inc., balancing her professional and family life with ease.

Active Lives and Big Achievements

The Ferrells love staying active and enjoying the outdoors. Whether it’s traveling, neighborhood walks, or playing sports, they’re always on the move.

Wyatt, their oldest, is a multi-sport athlete who plays tackle football, basketball, and golf—taking lessons at Gentle Creek. His creative side shines in baking and arts and crafts. Hatcher, the youngest, just wrapped up his first flag football season, helping his kindergarten team win the Super Bowl! He also plays baseball, basketball, and golf. Known for his humor, he’s the family’s little comedian.

Family Traditions That Matter

The Ferrells love creating lasting memories through travel and traditions. Every summer, they vacation at The Henderson in Destin, FL, and at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for Christmas. The holiday season is especially magical, with annual visits to ICE at The Gaylord and decorating a real Christmas tree to kick things off.

Favorites That Bring Joy

When it comes to food, the family agrees—anywhere with crab legs is the best restaurant! They cheer for The Dallas Cowboys, love watching "Is It Cake?" and Christmas movies, and enjoy listening to country music. As for travel, JW Marriott Hill Country Resort is Wyatt’s top pick, while Hatcher prefers the beach.

Beyond their love for sports, traditions, and travel, the Ferrells cherish the simple moments—spending time together, walking through the neighborhood, and making lifelong memories. With their Australian Shepherd, Tex, by their side, they’re grateful for a community that feels like family.
