Teddy & Toffi Manson

Have you met Toffi and Teddy? Phil and Sue Manson along with their children Sam (20) Emma (20) and Jessie (13) live in Wilderness subdivision and own these fabulous dogs. The family got Toffi, a cocker spaniel, from a breeder in Georgia in 2017. A year later, the family decided Toffi was bored and needed a friend. They found Teddy, a cockapoo, at the Humane Society when it was open in the Valley. Now both dogs are 6 years old. Toffi is super sweet while Teddy is cuddly and fluffy like a teddy bear!

Toffi is a field-bred hunting dog who goes after any kind of small animal she can to get her paws on. When the family first brought her home, she discovered a bird's nest in the garden within the first 5 minutes of exploring. Unfortunately, the eggs did not make it, but over time, the birds figured it out. The family actively discourages Toffi from getting to the birds and to adapt to their new addition, the family blocked off an area in the yard, allowing the birds to feed without being in danger of being eaten. This measure proved successful!

When the Mansons welcomed Teddy into their family, he brought along a few challenges. Through love and trust, he has made significant strides in improvement. He would counter-surf all the time and try to jump up to steal food. Now he occasionally jumps and runs off with the kitchen towel, it's a game and always makes cooking interesting. He also loves treat puzzles, they keep him busy and he's good at them too!

While both pups may look alike, they couldn't be any different in terms of personality. Teddy likes playing in the snow, Toffi prefers sunbathing. Toffi likes the pool but is afraid of the ocean and river because of the waves. On the other hand, Teddy hates the pool, but loves going to a river or the ocean.

The Mansons say that their lives would be very calm and quiet without Toffi and Teddy, but the family wouldn’t have it any other way. Toffi's quirks keep the family entertained, and Teddy keeps them on their toes, making their lives exciting and fun. The next time you see Toffi or Teddy, be sure to say hello!
