Charcuterie Class at Dr. Amy Beck's House
Create, Sip, and Socialize: A Hands-On Charcuterie Experience with Sara’s Boxes & Boards
On Thursday, October 17, neighbors gathered at Dr. Amy Beck's home for a delightful Neighborhood Night Out, enjoying a hands-on charcuterie class led by Sara Chinnock of Sara’s Boxes & Boards. Guests learned the art of arranging cheeses, meats, and other treats, with Sara’s Boxes & Boards generously covering half the cost of ingredients, while Dr. Beck graciously hosted, providing wine for everyone to savor. After the 45-minute class, attendees lingered to sample their creations, sip wine, and enjoy lively conversations in a warm and relaxed setting.
Special thanks to Dr. Beck for her wonderful hospitality and to Sara’s Boxes & Boards for sponsoring the event. Here’s to more memorable neighborhood gatherings!
More About Sara’s Boxes and Boards
Sara Chinnock, originally from Gadsden, AL, moved to St. Louis in 1998 to pursue her Master’s Degree in Hearing Science. After working as a teacher for deaf children and later joining Cochlear Americas, she balanced a busy life with two daughters and a passion for cooking. When COVID-19 hit, Sara decided to shift her focus to spending more time with her family. This change led her to start Sara’s Boxes and Boards, providing charcuterie and experience boxes for family gatherings and events.
Sara’s Boxes and Boards emphasizes high-quality ingredients, with each box freshly prepared for easy, stress-free entertaining. Her boards feature carefully cut meats and cheeses, plus her signature pecans and pretzels from her mom’s cookbook. For Sara, these boards are not just about food but about helping families gather and enjoy each other’s company. Sara also offers subscription services, corporate gifts, and catering, allowing customers to create special moments with loved ones.
