The Wright Family's Home Makeover

A view from the hearth room into the kitchen

Shelli and Tom Wright, residents of Wildhorse since April 2014, have always cherished their 1.5-story home located on a quiet cul-de-sac, surrounded by trees. They've raised their three children, Samantha, Chloe and Adam and their house has been the backdrop to countless family gatherings, but as the years passed, it started to feel outdated. The kids moved out; in fact, Samantha got married and started a family of her own with her husband, Brendan, and daughter, Maggie. So, the Wrights decided it was time to give their home a fresh new look to accommodate their growing family, with Scott Gray from Future Contracting leading the way.

The Wrights embarked on a complete remodel of the main floor and the second floor. Their goal was to update the house while keeping a classic and timeless feel. The main focus of the renovation was the kitchen and hearth room, where the family spends most of their time. The result is a comfortable and inviting space for family get-togethers, from watching sports to sharing meals.

The renovation process had its challenges, but the Wrights offer some practical advice. They suggest that patience and staying organized are key during such projects. Shelli says, "Don't be afraid to ask for advice, but always stick to what you truly like.”

After all the hard work and careful planning, the Wrights couldn't be happier with the results. Their home now perfectly matches their vision of a blend of modern comfort and timeless charm, improving a space that holds countless memories. They are looking forward to their next project—a basement remodel with Scott Gray and his team at Future Contracting – even further transforming their house into their ideal home.
