Weston’s Got Game

Golf, fishing, football, poker, you name it, this 7th grader is ready to win.

Meet Weston Schoffman! Weston is twelve years old that lives in Miramonte subdivision and is going into the 7th grade at Rockwood Valley Middle School. At school, his favorite subject is World History because he likes to learn about ancient cities and civilizations. Weston’s hobbies consist of mountain biking, boating and tubing at the lake, as well as hanging out with friends and family.

Most recently, he has learned how to play poker and is pretty good at it! Weston also loves to be outdoors and likes to fish. In fact, he competes in fishing tournaments at the lake and has won some impressive trophies in these tournaments. Football, basketball, and golf are Weston’s main sports when it comes to athletics.

One upcoming challenge that he is meeting head on is playing in a Jr. PGA tournament. He is preparing mentally and physically daily by taking golf lessons, going to the range, and working on his short game-putting and chipping. Every day he is working hard to win this tournament and comes one step closer to becoming a pro golfer.

One of Weston's favorite vacations he has ever been on was to Jamaica. He loved that their culture was super cool, the food was amazing, and the people were really nice. His favorite part was the beautiful beaches on the coast of Jamaica.

When it comes to his favorite food, Weston loves sushi! His top three favorite movies are Superman, The Hunger Games, and Home Alone. In his free time, he listens to music, and his favorite genres are hip-hop, rap and country. A musical instrument he would like to learn how to play is the guitar.

When Weston grows up, he would like to be an inventor or an entrepreneur (if he doesn’t become a pro golfer first!) because he is curious and creative, and he loves to solve problems. Weston is a unique kid with a bright future, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for him!
