Meet Alvy: Athlete, Leader, and Swiftie

This fun-loving sixth grader stays busy with sports, service, and summer swims - while dreaming big and working hard every day.

Meet Alvy Dlugensky of Wildhorse! A hardworking, fun-loving 6th grade girl with a wide range of sports, hobbies, and interests all supported by her family: Mom; Holly, Dad; Ed, and her brother; Edmund.

One of Alvy’s favorite traditions is her family’s annual trip to Clearwater, Florida. The tradition began when she visited with her best friend, and ever since, the Dlugensky family has returned every year.

Alvy is also an enthusiastic athlete who loves playing wing or forward for Lou Fusz soccer, as well as cheerleading for the Junior Lancers. Outside of sports, Alvy stays active in many other ways. She enjoys attending the Youth Group at the Crossing, serving as a leader for VBS at Bonhomme, singing in a choir and spending the summer days swimming at her neighborhood pool. She’s also excited to start babysitting soon.

Even when Alvy faces many challenges - like improving her soccer skills - she shows dedication by practicing every day. One fun thing that sets her apart is her admiration for Puka Nacua, wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. She even wrote him a letter recently and is eagerly waiting for a response.

Looking ahead, Alvy dreams of becoming a teacher, therapist, or an actor. For now, she enjoys multiple favorites: foods; sushi, steak, or pasta, school subject; writing, movies; Zombies and Christmas Chronicles, and music; Taylor Swift.

A fun fact about Alvy is that she used to play the cello and is attending Rockwood Valley. With so many interests and activities, Alvy has countless amazing adventures ahead of her!
