The Brown Family
Dr. Jeremy and Maryam Brown have proudly called Willow Bend home for the past four years, where they are raising their children, Kiyan and Layla. As a family, they value the strong sense of community and the welcoming spirit of the neighborhood. Willow Bend has become a special place for the Browns—a setting where they continue to build memories together and feel truly at home. “Halloween—especially on our street—is truly something special. Surrounded by wonderful neighbors who host an incredible annual celebration, the entire neighborhood comes together in a truly memorable way. The creativity, energy, and shared spirit make it a magical experience that sets our community apart” shared Maryam.
Jeremy is a family medicine physician who has been practicing in the DFW area for over 10 years. He currently practices at Baylor Scott & White at The Star in Frisco — the world-class training facility for the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to caring for patients, Jeremy serves as the team physician for the Frisco RoughRiders baseball team and occasionally appears as a medical correspondent on CBS 11 News, where he helps explain health topics in a clear and relatable way.
Maryam is a retired corporate professional and trained designer who now focuses on creating a meaningful home life during her children’s school-age years, while also serving on boards that support causes close to her heart.
One of the ways Maryam expresses her creativity is through thoughtfully designed seasonal displays at their home. Each season, she enjoys creating visual moments that bring joy not only to her family but also to neighbors and passersby. From holiday themes to subtle seasonal touches, these displays reflect her desire to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a sense of delight. Her recently completed Valentine’s display has become one of her favorite ways to share creativity and brighten the neighborhood. Her work can be viewed @couture_and_carpool.
Jeremy was born in Fort Worth and raised in San Antonio, while Maryam was born and raised in Plano. She was a member of one of the first graduating classes of Plano West Senior High School when it opened. The two met early in their college years at Texas A&M University in College Station, where their shared journey began.
As a child, Maryam occasionally accompanied her father to work on Saturdays while he was involved in the development of the Willow Bend neighborhoods. She remembers sitting in his truck, taking in the beautiful homes, and quietly thinking that one day she would raise her own family there.
Years later, while walking beneath Texas A&M’s iconic Century Tree, Jeremy asked Maryam if she would stand beside him through the long and demanding path of becoming a physician. Maryam promised her unwavering support—willing to work, move, and make sacrifices—on one condition: that when the journey was complete, he would bring her back home to Plano, specifically to the 75093 area. She shared her dream of living in Willow Bend and raising their children in the same community and schools she had known.
At the time, Jeremy had no personal connection to the area and little understanding of the significance of that promise—but he said yes.
Nineteen years later, following undergraduate studies, a master’s degree, medical school, and residency, they were blessed with the opportunity to return full circle and make Willow Bend their home—a promise fulfilled in the most meaningful way.
Their son enjoys playing tennis recreationally, but his true passion lies in music. He plays the saxophone and is actively involved in both band and jazz ensemble, bringing dedication and enthusiasm to every performance. Music is where he truly thrives.
Their daughter is a competitive dancer at a highly regarded local studio and has been dancing since the age of three. Trained in multiple styles, her favorite is tap, where her personality, energy, and joy shine most brightly.
The Brown family values movement, creativity, and shared experiences. Jeremy is an avid runner and can often be seen on Sunday morning runs throughout the neighborhood, along with regular Peloton rides during the week. Maryam has a deep passion for creating—whether through floral design, art, décor, celebrations, or thoughtfully curated moments—and enjoys hosting and designing gatherings that foster connection, turning everyday experiences into something both meaningful and intentional.
The Brown family enjoys spending time together through simple pleasures such as going to the movies, exploring new culinary experiences, and enjoying the outdoors—particularly hiking at Arbor Hills. Jeremy and Maryam also prioritize a weekly date night, whether discovering a new restaurant in the Metroplex, visiting a favorite spot, or strolling through Central Market, one of their cherished routines. They place a high value on time together and take delight in finding small ways to make everyday life feel special.
The Brown family is also deeply committed to supporting local organizations that serve and uplift families in the community. One cause especially close to their hearts is the Taylor Hooton Foundation. Having a personal connection to the Hooton family, Jeremy and Maryam were honored to serve as host chairs for the foundation’s 7th Annual All-Star Gala. The foundation’s mission strongly resonates with them, and it is a cause they are proud to support.
During the holiday season, weekends are intentionally reserved for festive and meaningful activities. Maryam thoughtfully plans experiences such as decorating, baking, seasonal outings, and creative projects, ensuring that each weekend becomes a cherished memory. It is a way for the family to slow down, be present, and turn the season into a collection of lasting moments their children will always remember.
