The Mengacci Family

The Mengacci family has been in Willow Bend for thirteen years. Paul and Cara have two daughters, Ella and Mia. Ella is thirteen years old and Mia is ten years old. “Old Shepard Place has been a blessing to our family.  Truly a wonderful place to raise our girls” shared Cara. In addition, the Mengacci family has a sweet Cavapoo named Frankie.
Paul and Cara moved to the DFW area in 2011. The two of them decided on Plano and bought their home in Old Shepard Place in 2012. “We love how convenient the neighborhood is. We love the big trees and beautiful parks. We have wonderful neighbors, and we cannot imagine living anywhere else!” shared Cara.
 
Paul was born and raised in Middlebury, Connecticut. Paul attended college at CU Boulder, and he has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an MBA. Paul has worked in various areas of the hotel industry since graduating from college. He is now the CFO of Desert Hospitality, a hotel management company.

Cara was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She attended Mount Carmel Academy High School. She stayed in New Orleans for college, attending Loyola University. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She has been a teacher for nine years, taking a break in between jobs to stay at home with her two daughters. Cara is now back teaching at Prince of Peace Catholic School, which is also where Ella and Mia attend school.
Ella has been a dancer at KJ Dance since she was three years old. Ella loves dance, cheer, and theater. She is currently in 8th grade at Prince of Peace, and she will be attending JP2 in the fall as a freshman. Mia loves all sports! She enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, volleyball, softball, and basketball. She is looking forward to playing sports for Prince of Peace next year in 5th grade!
The Mengacci family are members at Gleneagles Country Club.  They can be found playing tennis, pickleball and swimming during the summer months. In addition, they enjoy bike rides around the pond in Old Shepard Place. Frankie can also be found strolling the neighborhood enjoying fresh air. “We also enjoy being with friends and family whenever we can!” shared Cara.
The Mengacci’s love to travel and try to take two family vacations a year. Paul grew up skiing and has shared his passion with the girls by taking ski trips every few years.  “We both come from big Italian families, so we enjoy traditional Sunday dinners and cooking Italian meals for the holidays, especially Christmas!” shared Cara.
