Oliver's Signature Style

A miniature Goldendoodle with a one-of-a-kind mohawk has been turning heads—and stealing hearts—in Windward for 14 years.

Some dogs are known for their tricks. Others are loved for their loyalty or playful personalities. In Clipper Bay, one four-legged neighbor is famous for something entirely different. His hair.

Meet Oliver, a 14-year-old miniature Goldendoodle whose naturally occurring mohawk has been making people smile since he was a puppy. Whether he's strolling through Windward or heading out for an afternoon adventure, Oliver's one-of-a-kind hairstyle has a way of catching people's attention. More often than not, walks include someone stopping to ask, "Is his hair really like that?"

Oliver joined the Wadsworth family as a Christmas gift for daughters Anna and Catherine. Fourteen years later, it's hard to imagine family life without him. He's been a loyal companion through every chapter, always nearby with a wagging tail and a familiar face. Tim & Carlene Wadsworth have called Windward home since 2005, and they say the sense of community is one of the things they appreciate most about living here. Oliver has played his own role in that. His unforgettable look has sparked countless conversations with neighbors who may have otherwise walked right by.

Miniature Goldendoodles are known for their friendly nature and low-shedding coats, making them a favorite for many families. Oliver certainly checks those boxes, but his easygoing personality is just as memorable as his famous hairstyle. He is happiest spending time with his family and greeting anyone willing to stop for a quick hello.

These days, Oliver's perfect outing is simple. He loves a neighborhood walk, especially if it ends with a chance to cool off in the lake or his backyard swimming pool. At 14 years old, he has learned to appreciate the simple things, and he reminds the people around him to do the same.

It's easy to notice Oliver because of his signature mohawk. What keeps people smiling, though, is his sweet disposition and the joy he brings wherever he goes. After all these years, he's still proving that sometimes the smallest neighborhood celebrities have four paws and the best hair in town.
