Teays Valley Chiropractic: Celebrating 20 Years of Care and Community
Teays Valley Chiropractic is proud to celebrate 20 years of service, marking five successful years in its spacious, modern facility. According to Dr. J.B. Marinacci, owner and lead chiropractor, the transition to the new location has been great for the practice and has allowed them to continue providing exceptional care in an enhanced environment. “We have received so many compliments about how nice our facility is, and it has been rewarding to see our patients benefit from the increased space and amenities,” Dr. Marinacci shared.
Dr. Marinacci has been a dedicated member of the Teays Valley community for many years, establishing strong relationships with his patients built on trust and care. He lives in Woodridge Estates with his wife, Jennifer, a school counselor at Hurricane High School. Their children are deeply rooted in the community as well: Alyssa, 24, is a third-grade teacher at West Teays Elementary; Andrew, 20, is a sophomore at Marshall University; and Addley, 17, is a senior at Hurricane High School.
Dr. J.B. Marinacci grew up in Huntington, graduating from Huntington East High School in 1994. He graduated from West Virginia State College with a BS in chemistry in 1999, and from Logan Chiropractic College in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Teays Valley, where he has resided ever since, and started working for Dr. Jeff Given. In 2006, Dr. Marinacci purchased Teays Valley Chiropractic from Dr. Given. “Having been helped by one at a young age, I was interested in becoming a chiropractor one day. I liked the idea of helping people without the use of drugs or surgery.”
“As a doctor of chiropractic, I have always tried to keep up with the latest treatments while maintaining the unique, traditional skill of adjusting the spine.” Dr. Marinacci believes chiropractic is a great first choice in healthcare, no matter the age of the patient. “Everyone can benefit from chiropractic care; there is no one too young or too old for the benefits of a properly aligned spine and a healthy nervous system. Many issues such as neck pain, back pain, headaches, sports injuries, auto injuries, and disc injuries can all be helped by chiropractic care. We believe chiropractic treatment focuses on the cause of the problem rather than the symptoms.” He continues, “In most cases chiropractic care works, if a patient is not getting the results they need, than I am able to refer then to a specialist for additional treatment.”
Teays Valley Chiropractic's unique approach emphasizes patient relationships and personalized care. “Our practice has always been a place where people feel comfortable and know they are in good hands,” Dr. Marinacci said, attributing much of their success to a dedicated and skilled staff.
Jessica Payne, who serves as the front desk and billing coordinator, has been with the practice for 15 years. Chiropractic assistants Caitlyn Lamanca and Elizabeth Terry have each served for 4 years. The massage therapy team is led by Jennie Leadmon, with 14 years of experience, followed by Crystal Williams (4 years), Christy Wolfe (2 years), Cara Knolles (1 year), and Ambra Tellman (1 year).
“Staying current with the latest treatments while preserving traditional chiropractic techniques has always been a cornerstone of our care,” said Dr. Marinacci. He believes chiropractic care is an essential first choice for healthcare, helping patients of all ages find relief without the use of drugs or surgery. Dr. Marinacci continues to focus on patient-centered care and collaborates with specialists when additional treatment is necessary, ensuring comprehensive support for his patients.
Dr. Marinacci also points out that part of his job as a doctor of chiropractic is to refer cases when a different type of treatment might be needed instead of chiropractic or in conjunction with it. “We order advanced imaging for patients when necessary and refer accordingly. I have developed great relationships with some amazing family doctors and specialists in the area.”
We are fortunate to have Teays Valley Chiropractic serving our community and wish continued success to J.B. And his staff. Dr. Marinacci and his team remain committed to serving and improving the health and wellness of the community.
Teays Valley Chiropractic is located at 3 Station Place in Hurricane behind KO Car Wash.
