Big, Beautiful, and Beloved: Beasley’s Journey to Her Forever Home
Winnie Fields: Beasley, it’s so great to meet you. First things first—how did you find your forever family?
Beasley: Oh, it’s a pretty sweet story. My mom, Rachel, went to the Putnam County Animal Shelter with her parents. They were looking for a dog, but I guess I was “too big” for them. Can you imagine? Big is beautiful! But even after they left, I stayed on Rachel’s heart. She came back with her husband John, and this time—bingo. I was going home.
Winnie Fields: That’s amazing. Sounds like you made an impression.
Beasley: What can I say? I have presence. And a lot to say. I’m a very vocal girl—talking, complaining, announcing when the mail gets here. I don’t hold back.
Winnie Fields: I’ve heard you were named after a TV character?
Beasley: Yep! Pam Beasley from The Office. My family’s obsessed. I mean, I might not work at a paper company, but I do bring some serious personality to this household. Plus, I’m loyal—Pam and I have that in common.
Winnie Fields: You've been described as sweet, protective, and very spoiled. Accurate?
Beasley: Extremely. I didn’t have it easy before—things were rough before the shelter. But now? I get snuggles, love, treats, and all the affection I could ever want. The Horns saved me, and I think we saved each other a little.
Winnie Fields: What’s a perfect day in the life of Beasley?
Beasley: You know the usual, morning stretch, breakfast, patrol the yard for squirrels, yell at the mailman—respectfully—and then settle in for a good couch nap. Oh, and I never miss cuddle time with Judah. That kid gives the best hugs.
Winnie Fields: Any advice for dogs still waiting for their forever home?
Beasley: Don’t give up. There’s a human out there who needs you just as much as you need them. And when they find you? It’s pure magic.
Winnie Fields: Well said, my friend.
Beasley: Thanks....Gotta run, smells like John is cooking up something tasty!
