Meet Your Neighbors: The Petersons – Bringing Energy, Heart… and a Whole Lot of “Stroll”
If you haven’t met Caressa Peterson or seen her car yet, don’t worry—it’s likely just a matter of time. She’s the kind of neighbor who doesn’t just wave hello… she waves, asks how you’re doing, invites you to something fun, and somehow already knows your favorite local restaurant.
Caressa and her husband Jeff moved into Wellington Villas in 2025 , finally landing in a community Caressa had been eyeing for years. And in true Caressa fashion, she didn’t just move in quietly—she jumped right into her role as the new Area Director and Publisher of Stroll Worman’s Mill, helping bring this very magazine (yes, the one in your hands) to life.
For Caressa, this isn’t just a business—it’s her passion. She’s all about connection, storytelling, and creating a sense of belonging. Around Frederick, she’s known for being deeply involved in the community—coordinating signature events like the DoGood-er Awards, BeLocal Love Awards, and BeLocal Socials, while also supporting and uplifting countless local nonprofits and organizations. If there’s an event happening, there’s a strong chance Caressa is either behind the scenes making it happen… or right in the middle of it making sure everyone feels welcome.
Her goal with Stroll Worman’s Mill is simple but powerful: to turn neighbors into friends and businesses into trusted community partners. She believes the best communities aren’t just where you live—they’re where you feel connected.
Now Jeff—he’s the steady, thoughtful counterpart to Caressa’s high-energy pace. A software engineer by profession, Jeff is the ultimate problem solver and the go-to “fixer of all things.” Whether it’s electrical work, furniture rehab, or jumping in to help with event setup, Jeff is always ready to lend a hand. He’s also a big fan of biking around Frederick, exploring scenic trails, and enjoying the peaceful beauty that Worman’s Mill offers—especially with their home backing to Tuscarora Creek .
Together, they strike that perfect balance—Caressa bringing the buzz (or chaos), Jeff bringing the calm, and both bringing a genuine appreciation for the community they now call home.
Family is a big part of their story as well. While their crew—Dylan, Becca, Jacob, and Elizabeth (Izzy)—and their grandson Trevor don’t live in the home, they are always close by in heart and in life. From running businesses to contributing to Stroll (yes, Izzy is part of the team!) to spending time with a grandson who keeps everyone smiling with his sweet (and slightly mischievous) personality, family is at the center of it all. .
When they’re not working or out in the community, Caressa and Jeff enjoy weekend getaways to their favorite spot, Lewes DE, day trips to charming nearby towns, and exploring Frederick’s incredible food scene (they’ll tell you—they have a lot of favorite spots). They also love simply walking the neighborhood, soaking in the scenery, and connecting with neighbors along the way.
What drew them most to Worman’s Mill? The walkability, the friendly faces, the proximity to downtown—and the feeling that this is a place where people truly know and care about one another . It’s exactly the kind of community they wanted to be part of—and help grow.
At the end of the day, what makes the Petersons special isn’t just what they do—it’s how they show up. With energy, generosity, and a genuine desire to bring people together, they’re already making their mark.
So when you see Caressa and Jeff out and about, be sure to say hello. Just know… that simple hello might turn into a conversation, a connection, a story for Stroll and maybe even an invitation to something you didn’t know you needed—but will be so glad you didn’t miss.
