Where and why did you get Wilson? After our 18-year-old cat passed away in 2016, we missed owning one. I wanted to get a kitten and started looking to adopt one. However, we stopped at Petsmart one day and spotted him. He was not a kitten, but we fell in love when they let us get him out to visit. He was very excited, friendly, and handsome, proving he needed us and a new home.

What is the story behind Wilson’s name? When we adopted him, he came with the name Aldean. We felt he deserved a better name. My husband came home from the gym one day after seeing the name Wison on sporting goods equipment.  We knew that name fit our Wilson perfectly; the rest is history.

Anything special or unusual about Wilson? He prefers to find a hard surface rather than a nice, cozy, soft cat bed when napping. He stares at the pantry door, hoping it will open for treats. He always meets us at the door for endless petting if we have been gone.

What do you like best about Wilson? He is kind, gentle, affectionate, entertaining, intelligent, and friendly to us and everyone he meets. 

How spoiled is Wilson? When our friend visits us, she always brings him a can of tuna fish, his favorite. He receives many bags of cat treats at holiday time—enough for the whole year!

When is Wilson's birthday and/or Gotcha Day? October 23, 2016.

How has Wilson enriched your life? Not a day goes by that he doesn't make us laugh or bring us joy and happiness. He is a great companion.

What else should we know about Wilson? He loves dragging around his fake mice and brings them to us for praise, which we give.
