MEET KILO The Ultimate Hunting Dog and Family Guardian

Hi, I’m Kilo, a 9-year-old male Drahthaar. My family got me back in February 2016 from a breeder in Rogers, Arkansas. My name comes from my owner Gianni’s U.S. Army radio callsign, “Kilo” is how they say the letter K in the phonetic alphabet. Pretty cool, right?
I’m a hunting dog through and through. I use my nose and instincts to find, point, retrieve, and bring back game. I’m great at upland hunting and steady in the duck and goose blind. I only hunt for my owner and always check in to make sure we’re close, teamwork is important!
At home, I’m pretty laid-back and well-behaved. I spend a lot of time just hanging out indoors, but when it’s hunting time, I’m all business. I’m also protective of my family, especially my youngest human brother Luca. And I always find time to tease my sister, Cali.
One of my favorite stories happened in Canada. It was almost dark, and some ducks were hurt in a pea field. While everyone else was packing up, I kept sneaking off into the field and coming back with ducks in my mouth, nine in total before we left! Even the Labradors started following me on my late-night duck rescue missions.
I love hunting, exploring, and getting pets from my family. That’s me, Kilo, loyal hunting partner and proud member of the family.
